Though as seen in the continuation of the Freddy vs Jason comics(and the eventual addition of Ash from Evil Dead) you still couldn't really put Freddy down.

How about Darth Vader vs. Gandalf the White?
Already been done.
I'm thinking a League of Legends character versus a Dota2 character, at the moment.

That would only work for those that actually play LoL and DotA2, though. It'd be nice to have more accessible choices. How about James Bond vs. Nick Fury? Or the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles vs. the Thundercats? Or Wolverine vs. Predator?
Unless I'm the only one who doesn't play those games...

Maybe true, but I'd be leaving items and numbers out of the equation. As with all of these, the factors to consider would be weapons, abilities, and lore. But yeah, I will totally be gettin' to others as well, just have to get back into the groove of the research and whatnot.

Where did you get those rules from? I've read lots of Slenderblogs and I've never seen that specifically stated.

You're welcome, dude.
I feel unqualified to participate in any actual betting in this thread, because I'm not familiar with Slenderman beyond his meme status. However, I started on Freddy Kreuger really young, and he was my first experience with an movie monster that you never really beat, and I remember it scaring the heck out of 8-year-old me.

Well
Looking back on this, and having seen a more action-oriented version of Slendy in the fear mythos, my money is definitely on Slenderman as long as they're outside the dream world.
I can imagine Freddy at least matching him in his own realm, maybe forcing Slenderman out.

Pretty much this.
I have no clue who the slenderman is, but Freddy Krueger is one of the scariest villains I've ever seen, and his first movie deprived me of sleep for 2 days.
I was like "Can't sleep, freddy will get me...... Can't sleep, freddy will get me...... Can't sleep, freddy will get me...... Can't sleep, freddy will get me...... Can't sleep, freddy will get me...... Can't sleep, freddy will get me...... Can't sleep, freddy will get me...... Can't sleep, freddy will get me...... "

As Freddy has gone up against Ash, the Deadites/Necronomicon, Jason, and a large variety of other supernatural, preternatural, and extraterrestrial enemies....and he still keeps coming back, I still can't see the Slenderman winning the fight.

Essentially, the current thoughts of the Slenderman among the Fear Mythos is that HE is the "tip of the iceberg" for a much, much larger entity, and that the HIS form is the only one that we can comprehend. HIS true form would shatter the earth and drive humanity insane.
Instead, HE merely appears in HIS current form because, as yet, HE does not wish to destroy the earth. It's the same with the Archangel and the Manufactured Newborn.

And then Batman and Goku come in right?
Seriously, why do people feel the need to &*!@ up decent horror? Slenderman being some weird, ambiguous monster stalking around the woods was what made him so scary. Turning him into some big world ending is just fanboys having a wank fest. No different than turning Jason Voorhes into the Terminator.
