okay there is a total of only 20 snails if someone dieds with a snail you have to reset the fight there is a very far side to the left side of the room if you walking from the place where you spawn to the left there is a very very very very far snail that a DH got from netherwalking and can't be targeted so you have to go really far to get it i promise its out there when we did it couldin't find it until DH flew so far out.

Once you pull the boss, 20 Spicy Lava Snails will spawn in the lava all around the room. When you click one you will get an extra action button that will let you throw it to the boss. Swim around and get all 20, with each one giving the boss a stack of Magmosnax which gives him increasing damage, attack speed and move speed. At 20 stacks it'll be replaced by Escargorged. There's no duration to either debuff so if you're worried about the damage increase you could wait to start clicking snails until the boss is lower but we didn't feel the need and did it on pull.

I don't have a map with all 20 but I did take this screenshot and circled a few snails so you can get an idea of what to look for. They can be /targetted so if you're having trouble finding the last few try that. Most are within a couple seconds swim from the edge of the platform but one was a bit further and one was insanely far in the northwestern edge of the lava as seen in this screenshot. You'll want a really mobile and really tanky class to go get that one. We used a DH. Rdruid would also be great.

A couple classes excel at going out to grab them, and while this is by no means an extensive list some good class-specific tips are as follows.
Priest - You can stand on the edge and grip people back to safety after they get a snail.
Mage - You can Alter Time before hopping in the lava and then use it to snap back.
Warlock - Drop a port on the edge to port back to. Do not try to gateway as it falls to the bottom of the lava.
Monk - Drop a transcendence on the edge to port back to.
Druid - Travel form mysteriously treats the lava as water and you get increased swim speed.
Rogue - Shadowstep someone standing at the edge.

While you do want to get all 20 ASAP, don't forget about the regular fight mechanics as well. You need enough people left on the platform to soak puddles and circles to avoid the raid damage. Also keep an eye on the stomp timer before hopping in the lava because it knocks you regardless of range so if you're far out in the lava, you'll be pushed even further.

We ended up stuck with 19/20 for quite some time. However, there is one snail in the North East corner that doesn't show it's name plate unless you're on top of it, except for a split second when the boss is pulled. This was the one that we were missing.

Instructions for Magmorax - You need to pick up 20 Spicy Lava Snail in the lava surrounding the platform and feed them to Magmorax. You’ll be able to start picking them up when the boss fight starts, but they’re a bit hard to see. Switch on the critter name plates from the interface options to see them a bit better. The lava does damage so healers split up to keep the snail pickers alive. When you grab a snail, you will get an action button, go back up on the platform and throw the snail at the boss. If someone dies while holding a snail, you will fail the achievement and will have to start over.

We had trouble finding the last snail, we found it at the far east of the lava pool close to the wall. You can see it in the video. Once you feed all 20 snails to Magmorax, quickly nuke him down, and you get the achievement.

Here's a rough map of Spicy Lava Snails my guildmates and I put together.

**Hotfix today says they are moving 2 of the snails. Will try to update map if/when my group goes back for this.

You can make this a little easier if you bring a Prismatic Focusing Lens (prismatic focusing lens) from WoD. Very easy to unlock the ability to craft these, BTW. /tar spicy, then click the lens and there'll be a magical rainbow laser directly from your character to the snail that anyone will be able to see

Once Magmorax has been pulled, 20 Spicy Lava Snails will spawn in the lava. They need to be swam out to and brought back to the platform. Clicking on a Spicy Lava Snail will give you an extra action button to throw the snail to the boss when you are in range.

Dying while holding a snail will cause the achievement to fail as there are only 20 Spicy Lava Snails in the lava. On booth the east and west side there are snails quite far out, with one spawning approximately where the M in Molten Crucible is. When looking at the Northwest side.

Each snail gives a stack of Magmosnax which gives Magmorax increasing damage, attack and movement speed. At 20 this will change into Escargorged.

We had a small group and a dedicated healer go out and get all the snails, starting on the east side and moving in a circle around the platform.

Once Magmorax has 20 stacks and gotten the Escargorged buff, you can kill Magmorax.

A helpful note I discovered tonight is that the snails show up on track beasts to more easilly see which are left.

THIS CAN BE CHEESED WITH HUNTERS (plus a warlock helps) - I don't see anyone else talking about this here
This is how our group did it:
We had two hunters (myself and one other). Use Turtle BEFORE going into the lava, so long as you don't breech/jump out of the lava you will not take lava damage even when turtle falls off!
Started at the south end of the platform, swam around collecting snails, threw them to boss from the lava (make sure you're tanks are holding him on the edge). Tanks kited boss clockwise around the room as we grabbed snails and threw them in.
When the knockback comes out, DIVE STRAIGHT DOWN. This should prevent you from getting knocked out of the lava and then start taking lava damage. This is partly where the warlock is helpful for Unending Breath.
Also, didn't see this mentioned much: If you die with the snail on your person you will fail the achievement and have to restart. If you know the knockback is coming out soon, wait to grab a snail just to play it safe.

Our group discovered that the Shimmerscale Diving Suit made by leatherworkers works great for the extra speed boost! It increases your swimspeed by 100% for 15 minutes! you can also use the swim speed potion but the diving suit is much MUCH better!
