I killed 8 to get the item.Maybe you get it faster if you kill the satyrs next to campfire.

First satyr I killed dropped it also. It was next to a fire.

46, 37 first one i killed dropped the seal...not the most common of mobs, though, you might have to kill quite a few sprites to find the satyrs

I can confirm that the first satyr i killed next to a campfire dropped it.

This is one of those stupid quests, where the drop rate sux, and the reward isent big enough. >.<
The satr does NOT have to be killed by the fire, but if you want it to drop faster, (which most people do) kil them by the fire, but have fun finding it. =]

Chonchu has pretty much told you everything you need to know. I just thought I would let you know how easy it is. In fact I got it first time, so it is officially the quickest I have ever done a quest which gives you ok xp!

I don't know if this quest is bugged at the moment, but I have literally killed about 30 Satyrs and haven't got the drop yet. ::sigh:: Unfortunately it happens.

It isn't bugged. Finished it just now. Low droprate though. About 5-10% I guess.

Gotten on my first try with my Nelf alt, must of changed it, or mayby I just got realy lucky

It would be worth experimenting with different characters to see if the satyrs under the little gazebo-like structure drop it more than others. Just a theory.

If the grells have come into close contact with the seal that binds my eternal prison, I suspect I know the cause. No doubt the seal has come into the possession of the satyr that lead them.

I feel strongly that this must be true, <name>. One of the satyr must surely possess it. If you can obtain it, you would bring me so close to passing the bars of my prison that tears would come to my eyes.
