The skull is found in a Pile of Skulls, which is in a small walled-in area at the very top of Jintha'alor. As soon as you get to the top level, head to the right. There is a walled area with trolls, and further to the right is another area with wolves. That's where you'll find the skull.

The bones are in a Pile of Bones near the slimes/oozes. This is on the level right before the top. The area you are looking for is right next to the stairs that connect this level to the one below it. You should be able to see the oozes moving around, as well as a wall of wooden spikes. The spikes surround a pit/depressed area, and the bones are in the middle. You will need to kill about seven elite oozes to reach them. Just pick one side and kill your way around.

Quest is worth it since it is relatively easy and stacks with several other quests out of Revantusk Village. Plus, if you can't use either quest reward, take the legplates and sell them. Combined with the quest's monetary reward, you'll come away a little more than 3g richer.

Solo-able by a talented Rogue or Druid (I was 48).

To get the skull; I Hibernated one wolf, and rooted the other. Ran away until I lost aggro (if you run parallel to the path, uphill-side, there are no trolls for about 100ft, so you may lose aggro and re-stealth).

The bones were much harder, as you can neither hibernate nor root the Oozes. I just had to solo the elites face-on. Barkskin, the Defilers Talisman and War Stomp are all great if you have them; feral druids and rogues will stand a better chance toe-to-toe without them than Balance.

As of patch 2.3, the Vilebranch Raiding Wolves and the Jade Sludges are no longer elite, therefore this is no longer a group quest. It also gives away 6800 XP if you complete this quest.

The chamber with the skulls is on the north end of the top level of the temple of Jintha'Alor; if you look you'll see what looks like a cave, it is more like a tunnel. Go past that cave to the last enclosed area with some dogs. It will be in there.

When clearing the wolf "room" for the skull, use caution if you're pulling the wolves out of the enclosure. There are at least three troll patrols that will probably converge right where you're fighting a wolf, if you're lucky like me. I recommend hunting down the nearby patrols and dispatching them before you pull the wolves out.

However, there is a convenient spot to run if you find yourself in aggro hell: as you face the opening to the wolf enclosure, run down the corridor to the left of the enclosure, and then turn left when you reach the next wall. There's a rectangular water outlet, run into this and keep going until you almost run off the edge (a waterfall). Your pursuers will reset.

Adding to Sock Puppet: I didn't have any trouble till I got to this spot. The little enclosure where the wolves (and the skulls) are has a narrow walkway between it and another enclosure. There's at least 2 patrols that cross down that walkway.

If you stand too close to the wall of the other building (the one that has troll mobs, not wolves in it) you can pull the mobs through the wall.

Besides the safe area that Sock mentions, there's another great big area to the right of the 'cave' as you are looking at it. It's got some grass and a big tree. The mobs won't reset there ... but it's a safe spot to start with for pulling.

This quest was a lot of fun. When I went back down (because I missed some Berserkers and the pile of bones on the level below this one), I started clearing oozes to get to the bones. The Robes of Insight http://www.wowhead.com/?item=940 dropped from one of them. A VERY lucky trip :)

Just did this quest, easy to get through with my 48 pally.

Huntsman Markhor at Revantusk Village in the Hinterlands wants you to recover his twin brother's remains. Find and return Huntsman Malkhor's Skull and Huntsman Malkhor's Bones to Huntsman Markhor.

Markhor mentioned that his brother's remains were fed to the oozes and wolves of the Vilebranch. He also mentioned that there is a refuse pit filled with oozes in Jintha'alor as well as a wolf den. Both of these places are near the top of the temple.

Like many in our village, I too have lost a loved one to the wilds. Alas, it was my twin brother Malkhor - taken in the same raid as Torntusk's mate by the Vilebranch.

Sadly, he was not fated to live and was given a swift, brutal execution; his remains fed to the oozes and wolves of the Vilebranch.

It is too late to save his life but not too late to save his soul. Recover his remains, <name>.
