Relatively straight forward quest. Boxes are in Skull Rock, and may require some wait in the event you don't get the required number. They respawn at a decent rate. Was able to get 10 after one trip through.

If you are an Herbalist, make sure you skill level is high enough to get the 3 or 4 Ghost Mushroom spawns inside.

Note: The crates are in the cave, don't waste time looking on/above Skulk rock.

The "master ooze" referenced in the quest is likely The Reak, which can be found to the south and west of Skulk Rock.

You do not have to stick to the Cavern btw. The ruins to the west of the cave, the one infested with oozes also has the crates. Some near the water and at least 4 in the centre scattered around the ruins.

Ruins are called Agol'Watha.

I would recommend emptying the boxes instead of just taking the bottles. It will make it a lot easier to distinguish between looted and unlooted quest items.

If you're working on Cannibalistic Cousins, Hunt the Savages, Vilebranch Hooligans, and any other quests that takes you around the skull rock area, you don't actually have to go into the cave to complete this quest. At the cave's entrance, there is a box that spawns about 5 minutes between looting.

If you hate killing slimes that drop no loot and are on a server where not too many people are leveling, this is a nearly painless way to complete this quest. It took me 4 loots.

Each crate contained two or three bottles for me. I don't know if this is a recent change, but at least now you don't have to find 10 crates.

And I can confirm that the oozes are resistant to nature magic. It made using my wand very difficult! :)

There's also a chest you can open with lots of good contents at 57,42 at the top of the hill.

Tip for elemental shamans trying to do this quest. As mobs are highly nature resistant (your Lightning Bolts will do around 200 dmg instead of 400), and usually it takes to kill 3-4 mobs before you can open crate, here's what you might do to make it faster:

Magma totem will tick for 100+ with occasional 200+ crits, which means you need to drop 2 or finish mobs off with chain lightning/mace/shock/secret weapon of mass desctruction.
Guaranteed to be less annoying and much more fun (if repair bills are not too much of an issue for you).

This was a fairly easy quest, provided you know where to go...
as I did *not*, I wisely consulted wowhead.
I first looked on top of the hill, where questhelper told me to... but, alas, they were UNDER the hill.
I found most of the crates *inside* Skulk Rock. There is one crate at the entrance (see above for coords), but if you go IN, then take the left path down, there are numerous (at least 4) crates with about 2 to 3 ooze/sludge mobs inbetween. If you take the path to the right, there's only 1 crate, and you have to kill 4 mobs to get to it... not my idea of quick questing! The crates give 1 to 3 bottles of ripple per loot and some other random foods/drinks. I was done with this quest within 10 minutes, and the mobs gave decent xp for me at lvl 52.

i found crates in the ruins at 45,40 / 47,40 / 46,38. I also found a chest in one of the tents there. respawn rate was good enough i bs-ed a little and got all of the ripple there.

I possess original packaging materials for the ripple Dran Droffers seeks. I will assist you in packaging the ripple for Malton's abrasive father... for a fee of two additional bottles of said ripple. They are located in crates found in the abandoned Horde base near Skulk Rock.

It will be an arduous task, to wit; foul slimes and oozes will be found sticking to the ruins; rumor has it they are led by some sort of master ooze. Regardless, procure the ripple and return to me here for packaging.
