Sawtooth snapper's everywhere off the south coast from the questgiver. Drop rate not great however, about 25% maybe.

They seem to be dropping mostly from the lvl42 sawtooths at the upper part of Misty Reed. Finished mine after around 7 kills

the drop rate isnt too bad. killed about 12 to get 6 of the claws

First of all lolz, i went AFK to confirm that it seems like there is higher drop rate from the LVL 42's. but when i tabbed back in WoW that bad ass dragon somnus killed me :(

84, 64 has several of the mobs you need.

northern down to middle Misty Reed has them... they are concentrated inland along the waterways closest to the beach. but they are also found in the ocean off shore. best bet is to kill them at the waterway inland closest to the beach. there's just a whole lot more of them there

Along the way, you may encounter a drake elite named Somnus, so keep an eye out. I had the luck of being killed by him when I was AFK.

Sawtooth Snappers can also be found in the sea all along the coast. Pick up "Fresh Meat" while you're at it. http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=1430

I cant stress this enough! Dont waste your time fighting crocs next to misty reed. Pick up the Fresh Meat quest..go into the water at 88, 82 and start swimming... theres a multitude of crocs!!!! plus all the monstrous crawlers you could imagine.. PLEASE START THERE!

I found most of mine (as well as the legs for "Fresh Meat" just off the coast at 78, 96. You have to swim a bit, but there are lots of crocks and crawlers there.

i found my snappers around 85, 100 50% drop rate and granted 4800 exp as of patch 3.0

I think this quest is bugged, already killed 20 Sawtooth Snappers and 0 drops!

The elite "??" level dragon named Somnus that is flying around in the same area as the crocs is actually very easy to kill, and drops all 6 Sawtooth Snapper Claws that you will need for the quest. Soloed him at 40.

I had a very low drop rate for this quest, took me ages to complete.

84, 64 is correct! Head inland and the drop rate was about 75% for me.

Got all 6 in about 10 minutes

coords are correct, not a great drop rate though...all up and down the coast

for information the classes with pet like warlock and hunter u have to get the killing blow to get the Quest item ... i killed 7 snappers and get 4 Quest items and 3 times my pet got the killing blow

I DID THIS FOR HOLY $@#& LONG, I KILLED AT LEAST 100 CROCS..

i swear they were elvel 41-42 i got my first one in 20 kills.

I found the drop rate to be quite high, around 70% for this. Mind you I am level 42 and Sawtooth Snappers are 41, 42. I think the drop rate has a lot to do with how close your level is to the beastie.

Be aware that the water off the coast where these crocolisks are is very deep, so be prepared to be underwater for a good period of time.

I killed about 15 off the coast and didn't get a single claw.
Went to the coordinates 84, 64 and drop rate improved significantly.

Edit: I lied. >_>
Drop rate was good the first two but then I killed like 25 more and got only 2 more claws.
Went back out to the coast, first two I killed dropped the last two I needed.
So basically I believe the crappy drop rate is the same inland and off the shore.

when combined with fresh meat its not too bad. i did find a bunch of sawtooth snappers that dropped pretty well around 84, 10.

With the threat of murlocs along the coast, we're stationed out here to protect--or warn if the force is too large--of any coming threats to Stonard. It doesn't give us much time for relaxation, and we could use some more help if you're able.

The sawtooth snappers' claws make for fine weapons when properly prepared. Bring me some of their claws and I'll see you're rewarded with one of our weapons in thanks for the fresh meat and the good company.
