For this, you don't have to fight with the elites inside of the towers. All you need to do is stand outside close to the door and then use the Torch

hey i got a Question: I just downloaded a coord system and it showd the way to the first watch tower but i didint see the thing i put fire on ? do i got the right coord system ? do i have to kill the elite (it was warlord) ?

I just completed this quest today, and found the coordinates to be as follows for each tower:

Tower 1: 40, 71
Tower 2: 42, 66
Tower 3: 44, 63
Tower 4: 46, 71

They are correct as listed above.

Coords are correct and you do NOT have to kill the lvl 56 elite Skeletal Warlords; The doorway will be an arch coming out of the tower stand in the corner that is formed by the arch and the tower and use the torch and you can solo this as any class, the next however will not be so easy.

Watch out for the Flesh Golem, these are lvl 56-57 Elite Abomination. They patrol through the Ruins of Andorhal

As a 53 Warlock, I carefully inched in towards each tower doorway, but I kept drawing aggro from the elite. However, I was able sic my VW on him, then retrieve the VW and kite the elite for about 30 or 40 yards. At that point, the elite would just stop, de-aggro, and stand there (juggling his skull) for about 10 seconds. I had plenty of time to run around the elite and get back to the tower. No elite in the tower, so I can step right up, pop the torch, and voila! I did this at 3 of the 4 towers.

As for patch 2.3 those cute little skeletons in the watchtowers(Skeletal Warlords) are not elite anymore.

Warlords are now non-elites, 2 minute cooldown on the torch so you might have to wait a little bit in between towers.

The watchtowers are located at the 3 entrances to Andorhal (as an effective watchtower should be), meaning you don't have to wander around the town much. Tower 1 is at the SW entrance, Tower 2 is at the SE entrance, and Towers 3 and 4 are at the N entrance. Run in and out for 1 and 2, then loop around the back for 3 and 4. If you run out of torches before marking all of the towers you will have to drop the quest and pick it up again.

considering that you get this Q at lvl 50... its kinda tough - considering that the warlords inside the towers are 56 or 57

The Beacon Torch will have 1 charge left. It will stay in your inventory even after you turn in the quest. This can be destroyed and will not affect any part of your quest afterwards.

It appears as of the latest patch, the skeletal warlords have been removed all together, kind of disappointing as I quite enjoyed mauling them on my warrior.

Seems like you have to mark the chronologically, from 1 to 4. Tried to do number 4 first and it used a charge but didn't mark it :/ It could have been that I was doing it wrong or a bug, but do it from 1 to 4 just to be safe! Gl everyone! :D

Did the prereq 'Clearing the way' but quest giver is still not offering me 'All along the watchtowers' . Why is this?

Descrição

Through the use of a magical device known as a beacon torch, we can mark targets of our choosing for future actions by our troops. To that end, we think the Scourge are using Andorhal's watchtowers as a means to control their troop movements.

Your mission: breach Andorhal's defenses to plant beacons at all four watchtowers. You'll need to be in the doorway of each tower to plant the beacon; it will then proceed to mark the tower. There are only five charges on the beacon torch, so use them wisely!
