Drop rate is high, but not 100%. Took me six kills to get all three.

Once again, the mobs you need for this quest are camped hardcore, usually for Essence of Water. I ran into a level 60 undead mage wearing Tier 3 and riding a Black War Wolf (in other words, he was exalted with Orgrimmar as well) who would tag all the mobs in sight, then AOE them to death. If you run into one of these individuals who are obviously very very poor and desperately NEED to farm, try sending them a tell to join up in a group. You will likely have to give up all loot rights except for your quest drops, but it's better than not finishing the quest (and watching some jerk ruin your game). Thanks Blizzard!

Don't try do this quest in a raid group, they won't drop. My bad for doing that. Dropped every kill after I left the raid group. >__<

Done as a 55 Frost mage. Didn't have to drink water one time, they would die before getting to me. Go to 48,24 in Feralas called irontree woods you will see some walking trees but near the swamp looking water there are a group of em waiting to drop your quest item :) I only needed to kill 4

49,26-50,26 worked like a charm, got 3 in 3 kills. It might not be 100% drop rate though.

Nice easy quest, drop rate is good, even got an essence of water off one of the three i killed, not bad at all.

Good drop rate at 49.26. Also just north of the Area Alchemist's will find some dreamfoil and plaguebloom. Toxic Horror's are also decent at dropping Elemental Waters.

I did the quest and tested to see the drop rate, it was 5/6 that i killed :P very good drop rate. had 2 extra i didnt need so i threw it out but easy and good

I am a 56 frost mage, they seemed to be immune to my frost spells.

But i got 3 from 4! ;)

I believe the screenshot is from a private server because the elemental has frost debuffs, to which it should be immune.

Although I doubt most will make this mistake...I imagine I should put a little mention of this since I did...

TOXIC horrors. The WATER elemental looking ones.

I spent an hour killing entropic horrors. Doh! To think I've done this quest half a dozen times... I R NOOB.

Side note, these are TOXIC horrors and thus NOT immune to frost effects or spells. Just like the Muck Spawn in Nagrand.

Solo'ed as a level 55 Fury Warrior, completed in less than 2 minutes. Got a quest item drop on each kill. Toxic Horrors are level 53-55. They have two DoT abilities;-
Localized Toxin - 16~17 Nature Damage every 5 seconds - Stackable upto 5 - Initial 1 minute duration, refreshes.
And, Deadly Poison - 90~91 Nature Damage every 10 seconds - Not Stackable - 2 Minute duration
Be careful of the DoT abilities as while they're up, you can't bandage so remember to bring food!

This quest seems impossible to do, there will ALWAYS be lvl 60 players 24/7 farming these mobs, I'm not sure why. I've tried to complete this quest for about a week now, not even kidding. But whenever I go there, there's literally no hope because tons of lvl 60 will be there farming them.

I've studied the sample you returned with, and while I can't say for sure, I believe it contains traces of toxic elements. However, the only way to know for sure is to gather some as a comparison.

I believe that the Deadwood furbolg may be gathering these elements from other corrupted creatures in Felwood; in particular, the elementals living in the Irontree Woods, called toxic horrors.

Collect a few samples for me to compare, but be careful -- it's very dangerous there!
