Low drop rate ...this may be class specific. When I ran this as a Shaman they dropped much better.

Agree with above comment. Drop rate is around 5%.

Get this quest at 57,12 and then go to 56,13 to pick up "Escorting Erland". I got this quest done while escorting the guy.

You need to kill Mottled Worgs for this quest.

I just want to inform you, they have a really low drop rate.

Five out of six hearts I looted were looted from Worgs (not mottled, the plain ones).

I had a low drop rate for mottled worgs but got all 6 hearts in 7 kills off of the normal worgs further to the north. I believe as of 3.3.3 the drop rate may have been swapped.

I've gained a full level killing Mottled Worgs and still haven't finished this awful quest.

My brother Quinn was badly hurt by the ghoul, Ivar the Foul, and I don't know if he will heal properly without magical aid. Although I am not an apothecary, I do know that our apothecaries can make healing potions from the discolored hearts of worgs.

Gather such hearts and take them to Apothecary Renferrel at the Sepulcher to the south. Then return here with the potion.

You can find plenty of worgs between here and Malden's Orchard to the east.
