The books are next to the tent at 56,43.

The tent is guarded by three level 4 thugs.

Go behind the tent at maximum range where you can still shoot shadow bolt. Blast one down, run away, regen, and rinse and repeat.

The stolen books are at a tent north just north of the vineyard at 56,43. Its guarded by 3 Defias who cannot be single pulled.

Stupidly hard considering every other race has an easy quest to get Imp. I asked another warlock for help and that worked out just fine since he needed it too. But in terms of soloing its easiest to kill one then run then kill another and so on. Hurry though because they respawn quickly.

You can hide inside the tent if you dont want to run too far. The defias wont come in there also you can not attack them. you will loose aggro giving you time to re-gen close by.

You can very easily get this item.. just go into the tent, the defias will bug out and stop attacking you. You can loot the item through the tent with a bit of fancy camera work, and run off with your booty :)

Tried your tactic wc and they still can attack through the tent when you're trying to get the book.

somthing really messed up happend today,

im a lvl 70 gnome lock, and was spreading some chaos with a doomguard and some friends in northshire, nothing out of the ordinary. then, i noticed that this lady had a quest for me via the minimap. so i took the quest, finished it in a snap, and was rewarded, in addition to the imp spell i have now known for over a year, 7.5 gold.

not complaining, but WTF? too bad ive now done all the summon imp quests the Alliance has.

Same crap happened to me. I thought it was a midsummer quest. but it was a warlock trainer giving it... now i still have my imp and i got 7g :)

You get 11000 experience if you complete it with a non 70 char + having imp form before. :P lol

must be something wrong.. my lvl 70 lock got the q while hes a gnome, but the really strange thing is the q is yellow! its easy to solo tho if your a lvl 4 warlock just run run and dot

Yea going in the tent worked great. I tried to pick one guy off and then pull him alone, but they all swarmed.

Finally I just ran into the tent to the very back and they stopped attacking me. Then I inched forward to the point where they would attack and then I stepped back. It took a while to properly spin the point of view around, but when I did I was looking at the tent from about 20 yards away head on (still sitting in the tent). The tome was easily clickable.

I planned to hearth back, but I found that I could run out and up the hill until I was running in place. Once you pass the tree they stop following you.

The imp is a mean little devil. I took him back and killed all the Defias Thugs in the whole area.

This has been nerfed as of 3.3 patch. You get to buy your imp immediately if you have the coin to train.

At level 80, this quest used to give as much experience/gold as any level 80 quest (and used to be yellow at any level too) because class quests level scale with your level.

I can't get this quest. I'm assuming it was removed from the game.

There was a novice studying at the Abbey who ran off to join the Defias Brotherhood. Why do I care? Well, he stole some important books.

One of those happens to be a book I've wanted for myself, the Powers of the Void. Steal it for me, they have it hidden at their tent in the Vineyards.
