The Co-ordinates for the box of Forged Steel is in fact 55.26.
It is just NW of Thun'grim Firegaze . Just down the face of the mountain.
It is a Quilbore Camp,not Razormane. You can see the broken wagon as you
are coming down off of the mountain .

The directions for the steel is correct except it is indeed a Razormane camp.
just head down the mountain and its on the tip of the NW ridge.

Ok, the steel bars for this quest took me some time to find, so i hope that i can help out fellow in finding them quicker than i did.

The short version, for those who have coordinates: The Bars are located at 55.26, as stated in the other comments below.

....but...
If you are like me and don't have cordinates, you will have to go to the northwestern "corner" of the mountain. Standing in Thun'Grims camp (the guys that gives you the quest) facing north, would reveal your route as: http://img104.imageshack.us/img104/492/steelbars1kk4.png
Go down the mountain at the northwestern slope, as i showed in the picture above.

When you reach ground level, you will see a broken cart standing on the ground with a few quillboars guarding it. On the ground next to the cart, you will see a little box/locker. You will find yourself located like this: http://img377.imageshack.us/img377/992/steelbars2rb5.png
The bars are on the little dark chest as pointed out by my picture :)
Now, the only thing left to do is to deliver them at the same guy from whom you got the quest.

Note: The bars are located in the same area as the quest for killing Quillboars (Disrupt the Attacks, link: http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=871. You will save yourself some time doing both quests at the same time.

Whoever trying to solo this quest, be sure to use your hamstring on those quilboars. They escape in a fairly high speed that you are not likely to catch up and, with one successful escape, it might means that you have 3 more enemies to deal with.

The axe is the best option, as it has the highest DPS, and if you're an orc, you'll get expertise.

Quest does not count towards the Loremaster of Kalimdor.

The weapons aren't great; you can run RFC and do the "Hidden Enemies" quest for a better one handed mace or 2 handed axe.

In patch 4.0 I got a "you don't meet the requirement for this quest", once I turned in the previous one in the chain ("Thun'grim Firegaze")

Probably removed as Blizzard stated a lot of class quests would be deleted.

I will give you a weapon, <name>, but first you must aid me. The Razormanes to the northwest came into my camp a few nights past. They would not meet me in combat, but they know my eyes are bad--a few distracted me with snorts while others stole from me! The cowards!

They took an iron chest, and within it were some forged steel bars. If you can recover them then I will give you the weapon you seek.

Search for the iron box within the quilboar camps, and return with the forged steel bars.
