It is also currently possible to use the Cenarion Sparrowhawk Whistle while on your flying mount.

Simply use the item, follow the Sparrowhawk, dismount and grab the tablet. Repeat

Maku sure u at Sketis, dont bother to whistle at lake (chk yr minimap). Easier if u at further south where less mob maybe only the shift chaser to bother u. Whistle yr sparrowhawk and follow.

Just use the item in different parts of skettis and follow the cenarion bird.

I had problems finding any in the more rocky (read: gray) border areas of Skettis. Got a message along the lines of "Cenarion Sparrowhawk couldn't find any raven stones nearby." I suppose they're only found under the green grass.

From my experiance, they are - naturally - only found near the arakkoa areas.

If you get into combat while the bird is finding the tablet for you, the tablet will despawn after a little while.

After managing to chain-aggroing four different things, the tablet had despawned, so I whistled for the bird again. But it didn't find the tablet at that spot again, like I expected. Instead, it flew off to a different area sort of nearby.

i dropped this quest by mistake, and ic annot pick it up i dunno who to talk to but i've talked to liek everyone, and the GMs wont help they just say "we cannot give u help or advice" so ...i dunno what to do but i want to finish this quest who do i talk to?

You can gather these (like most items) while in flight form. So you just pick a spot in Skettis and shift into caster form to blow the whistle, and shift back to flight immediately after.

This way avoids any aggro and gets the job done faster. Also, note not to blow the whistle in the same spot twice as the birds comes and finds nothing before flying away.

The whistle has a 45sec cd.

1) Got to the graveyard at 83,81
2) Right-click on whistle
3) Go into stealth mode and wait a few seconds.
4) Follow bird and click on item on ground. Bird disappears.
5) Go back to graveyard.

Go back to step 1 and repeat for a total of 8 times.

Never fought a thing. No problems.

At level 80:

In druid form, blow whistle. Follow bird. Loot stone.

Shift into Flight Form, fly about 30 yards in any direction.

Shift into druid form, blow whistle. Follow bird. Loot stone.

Rinse and repeat.

Just did that quest now, and as of 3.1 I was able to fly to Skettis, summon the sparrowhawk, pick up the Raven Stone and summon him from the area in which the stone had just been looted.

So: fly to a random point in Skettis
summon sparrowhawk
follow sparrowhawk
loot Raven Stone
rinse + repeat

You MUST keep moving around the valley, or else the bird only seems to have a 5% chance of finding a stone. I just kept running around in between the cooldowns and got them about 50% of the time.

It's worth noting that this is probably the worst quest in WoW and you may want to just consider abandoning it altogether, lol.

I was following the post about the graveyard method and this quest seemed very buggy for me. Many times I blew the whistle and the bird never came to help while other times he flew down, looked at me, surveyed the ground, and then flew away after uncovering nothing. Furthermore he would fly down and claim to find nothing nearby.

Combine all of this with the 45sec CD on the whistle and I've been in Skettis for more than 15 minutes trying to finish this. It was VERY frustrating.

I was also attempting to follow the advice about the graveyard method and was having similar problems to the above poster. I was able to call down the sparrowhawk every time but while standing in the graveyard he would look around and then not find anything and fly away. I ended up having to find random "safe" zones around Skettis to complete this quest. Be aware though, there are lvl 72 elites roaming around!

An easy way is to fly up in bird form, unshift, use the whistle, then shift back into bird before you hit the ground. If you're still high above the ground, fly down until you're close. The bird will come to you, not where you whistled.

I found a spot without aggro range of anything, used the whistle and shifted back to flight form immediatly. Sometimes the stone would be close to a mob, but even if that happened, opening the stone didn't shift me out of flight form, and I could open the stone between mob attacks (lots of casters there.) After I got the stone, fly away so you drop out of combat, heal if needed and repeat.
The most annoying bit of the quest was waiting for the cooldown on the whistle to end.

I have a problem with this q ...I whistle my bird in elf form then my bird is just stading in one place...she doesnt moves.. can someone explain how to do this q..

I've trained your sparrowhawk to respond to a specific whistle. When it hears the sound, the bird will fly to you and guide you to the location of the nearest tablet fragment. Arthorn sent word that the fragments you're looking for are buried in the Skettis area of southeastern Terokkar Forest, so the bird will wait for you there.

When you've gathered all the stones, return the whistle to Arthorn and she will see to the animal's care and release.

Convey my greetings to Arthorn when you see her.
