Siege of Orgrimmar Loot Tables, Clarifications on Off-Spec and Upgradable Legendary Capes
The 5.4 Dungeon Journal has been updated to include loot drops from all Siege of Orgrimmar bosses--check out the loot drops and dungeon strategies below.
We also have some clarifications on the
legendary capes coming in Patch 5.4 as well
. There's plans to include options to get legendary capes for your off-spec, and there's also some discussion on whether or not capes can be upgraded. It looks like the legendary capes will end up at ilvl 608 regardless of the item tech behind it.
Lore
I'm not completely sure how things are set up in the build that's going up today, but our intent is actually that you'll be able to acquire multiple Legendary cloaks, if you like. So, if you wanted, you could actually get one for both your Protection and Retribution spec :)
As an update, there's been a very slight change of plans. Our current thinking is to either start the Legendary cloak off at 2/2 upgraded (regardless of whether you upgraded the Epic cloak or not), or just have it set t

5.4 PTR: Timeless Isle Pets, Screenshots and World Bosses
One of the new zones coming in Patch 5.4 is the
Ilha Perene
, the location for an upcoming pet tournament and fighting the August Celestials as world bosses. In this initial preview, we'll look at the pet rewards, zone screenshots, and the Dungeon Journals for the Celestials.

5.2 PTR: Throne of Thunder Loot Tables
With the announcement that
Patch 5.2 might go live in as little as two weeks
, we wanted to post loot tables from the new raid,
Trono do Trovão
! There are twelve new bosses that drop ilvl 502 gear on LFR, ilvl 522 gear on Normal, and ilvl 535 gear on Heroic difficulty. There's also a heroic-only boss,
Ra-den
, that drops ilvl 541 loot.
Here's the highlights:
Tier tokens are from the following bosses:
Dark Animus
: Chest
Twin Consorts
: Helm
Council of Elders
: Gloves
Ji-Kun
: Legs
Iron-Qon
: Shoulders
It appears that not all Thunderforged items have been added into the Dungeon Journal yet. Thunderforged items are 6 ilvls higher than their normal and heroic versions.
According to Blizzard
, they have a small chance to drop on either 10s or 25s, but have a higher chance to drop on 25s as an incentive to raid in this format.
Tier tokens are not available in Thunderforged versions.

5.2 PTR: Throne of Thunder Dungeon Journal, Loot Preview
The Dungeon Journal was updated in the latest PTR build to include details on more Tier 15 encounters, such as Jin'rokh the Breaker, Dark Animus, and Twin Consorts. Encounter testing is happening pretty frequently on the PTR, so hopefully this will be a handy reference during 5.2 raid testing! You can also check out the Effect section on each of the spell pages to see how hard everything hits for in LFR, normal, and heroic difficulty.
We also have a teaser of some normal (ilvl 522) and heroic (ilvl 541) loot.
This is very preliminary
as the names and models are clearly placeholders and there are some obvious itemization holes, as well as no mention of
Thunderforged
items. It's still neat to get a sense of what stat budgets are for Tier 15 though. (Again, I can't stress enough how preliminary the items are.)

5.2 PTR: Raid and Scenario Preview, No New Dungeons
Today's 5.2 feature covers information about upcoming encounters--raid bosses and scenarios! While some bosses have incomplete entries so far and the loot tables aren't known yet, you can still get a sense of what the encounters are like with the Dungeon Journal. We think it's pretty neat that the Dungeon Journal is deliberately vague about
Ra-den
, a heroic-only encounter, by saying he's instead "shrouded in mystery"--brings back a sense of player discovery.
And as there's no new 5-player dungeons planned for the rest of MoP, we've highlighted our 5.2 scenario summaries to give you a taste of upcoming small-group content.
No New Dungeons in 5.2
People who read the
5.2 PTR Patch Note Preview
may have noticed that there was no mention of new 5-player dungeons. Zarhym clarified that this was intentional, as it would disrupt the current progression model.
LFR has taken the place of dungeons for gearing-up mid-expansion. While players enjoyed
Terraço dos Magísteres
at the end of Burning Crusade, in the current raid context, it's strange for a dungeon's loot to be on par with raid gear. Players were unhappy with how 4.3 dungeon loot was compa

Raid Preview: Terrace of Endless Spring
A small PTR patch hit servers early this morning, and while we thought at first that the Darkmoon Faire trinkets were nerfed, it turns out that they are
unchanged
(confirmed by
Daxxarri
)--the mechanisms behind displaying the procs were simply changed to help with scaling mechanics in 5.1. (It's a bit complicated, but most trinkets default display a base ilvl 463 proc you'd get in a Challenge Mode, and are then scaled accordingly on tooltips for higher ilvl items. Full details in
my comment
.)
Daxxarri
No! Bad! Stop pointing to data-mined content as fact. The change that got picked up was actually an adjustment to Darkmoon Card trinkets for Challenge Mode stat scaling.
The other notable addition was
Um Teste de Bravura
, requiring players working on the legendary chain to earn 6000 Valor Points. We've got the full list of spell changes underneath the cut.

Mists of Pandaria Loot Tables and Dungeon Journals
We've been holding off on posting the encounter journals and loot tables until they've gotten more filled out. Last Friday's patch, however, seems to have added a lot of data: there are loot tables and a lot more abilities added! The only journals that seem incomplete are the world bosses, which makes sense as they are probably deciding what mounts and rare items to assign them.
Be sure to check out each bosses and their back stories as well--
Saltallus
is by far the most menacing of this expansion!
Raids
Straddling the mountain range between the Jade Forest and the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, the Terrace of Endless Spring has been a sacred refuge for millennia. Its peaceful fountains are said to have the power to heal and rejuvenate, but when the Sha of Fear attacked, many of the complex's guardians turned on each other in fits of terror.

4.3 Preview: Well of Eternity Overview and Dragon Soul Testing
Blizzard hit us with an unexpected testing phase this afternoon of the new raid as well as the final 5-man; unfortunately, the raid was announced right as the bosses went live, so the servers started tanking immediately while everyone rushed to log on. Only a few groups got a 10-man together--most top-end guilds fought the loading screen boss instead, getting 4-5 of their members in the instance before testing time ran out. We managed to get in and take some screenshots, but sadly, the majority of my guild was stuck at the loading bar for the entire night.
All of this is to say I doubt we'll see many good videos, as the streams were fairly disappointing due to guilds like Blood Legion only able to pull trash due to limited numbers--most videos will probably be PUG point of views.
A rocky start, but hopefully we'll have some great testing sessions before and after BlizzCon!

4.3 Preview: End Time 5-man Coverage, Dungeon Set 3d Models, Dungeon Journal Entries, and More
Today's been a long day. Like, a really long day.
But I enlisted the help of Perculia and my guildmates; together we tackled the first 5-man End Time (the other two weren't open) for screenshots and videos. We've
also got their drops from the client uploaded on our PTR site

4.3 Preview: Hour of Twilight 5-man
Hour of Twilight
The final stage in this series of dungeons is set in the present-day Dragonblight, now under a full invasion by the Twilight's Hammer. Players must escort Thrall and the Dragon Soul safely to Wyrmrest Temple, where the assault on Deathwing is to commence. But the Twilight's Hammer forces are numerous, and their leadership remains strong. Those attacking the temple are commanded by a man known very well for the strength of will he's offered Alliance citizens. Now with his own will broken, he preaches only Deathwing's cataclysmic vision for all life on Azeroth.

Well of Eternity
Ten thousand years in the past, the night elven capital city of Zin-Azshari was a magnificent, sparkling metropolis. Situated on the shores of the Well of Eternity, Zin-Azshari was where the aristocratic Highborne first opened a portal into the Twisting Nether and invited the Burning Legion to invade Azeroth. Under the command of the night elven queen, Azshara, the Highborne now pour their energies into the portal, preparing it for the terrifying and glorious entrance of the titan Sargeras.
With a gateway to the past now open, Nozdormu will transport players to Azshara's

4.3 Preview: End Time 5-man
Cho'gall, once a key executor of the nihilistic Twilight's Hammer's vision, has been struck down. Lady Sinestra, consort of Deathwing and mother to the malevolent black dragons Nefarian and Onyxia, has fallen at the hands of great heroes. Ragnaros, lord of the realm of fire in the Elemental Plane, and Al’Akir, baron of the realm of air -- both mighty arbiters of Deathwing's destructive ends -- have themselves been purged. But even with so many of Deathwing's servants now vanquished, he freely roams the skies of Azeroth, wreaking havoc on the land and its people. It's in these darkest of hours that the forces standing against Deathwing must carry out a desperate plan to put an end to his devastating twilight flight.
The other Dragon Aspects, with allegiance from Thrall, have devised a dangerous and unorthodox strategy to bring Deathwing down once and for all. But to do so, they must acquire the Dragon Soul from a pivotal moment in the distant past... and they're going to need your help. In patch 4.3, level-85 players will gain access to three new Heroic-difficulty five-player dungeons, embarking on quests to aid the Aspects and other familiar faces in a

News Round Up: Tabard Slot, Pugging 4.0 Content, and STARS Exploits
So now that the dust has settled from 4.2's eerily smooth launch, it's back to raiding and waiting to see what 4.3 will bring. While we wait, though, we have some interesting blue posts and a round up of what's been going on so far.
On some servers, the new dailies have been resetting. A lot. Many players are already on or about to be on the third stage. If you find yourself up at 3AM when dailies should reset on your server, they may reset again at 4AM and then again at 5AM. Hopefully it gets straightened out.
Daily quests aside, there are some even bigger "exploits" rumored to be happening right now that's got the PvE scene worked up. The well-known guild STARS decided to kill Ragnaros like many of us did--his death is required before you can begin heroic modes, much like how ICC had the LK as a gating mechanic for heroics. Unlike the rest of us, however, they took it a step farther when right after their kill the entire guild faction transferred to reset their raid lock, forming
a new guild
. This is clearly not an intended use of game mechanic and, in the past, when guilds have done thi
