, Warriors have received some surprise hotfixes! Alongside minor damage tuning for Arms Warriors, the Blood and Thunder talent now causes Thunder Clap to apply Rend directly, rather than simply spreading the debuff from one target to another. This change also applies to Protection, but while Arms Warriors pay for the benefit through an increase in the rage cost of Thunder Clap, the ability remains a rage generator for tanks.
Overall, this is a fantastic change for both specializations. Previously, the talent required Rend to be cast first and only spread the debuff from one target to others; so while the rage cost is increased for Arms, they save rage overall by not having to first cast Rend, as well as saving both the time spent on an extra GCD and reducing the need for an extra keybind in most content.
