Echo have won the Race to World First, making this the final Daily Recap of the tier! This video's topic of course addresses the kill, which came after more than 250 pulls for Echo.
The kill came on the first pull after a fairly large nerf was pushed to the enrage of the encounter, increasing the timer of the 3rd phase by a huge amount and making the mechanical overlaps less intense by virtue of more space being available for longer on the platform. This nerf also landed while Liquid had not yet started their day, creating an extremely unsatisfying end to the race. One can reasonably argue that Echo were ahead and likely to win regardless, but it's undeniable that the race's ending was less exciting than it should have been - hopefully something that was a one-off event due to the timing of this race.
Echo's performance this tier was phenomenal, and we're extremely excited to see the next Race to World First where they and Liquid will clash again as both guilds continue to elevate the game! We hope you've enjoyed these daily recaps and we'll see you next tier!
