This is just a PSA to announce the following very important news: You can pet the dog in Dragonflight.
Bakar are a familiar sight in Ohn'ahran Plains. These large dog-like creatures are kept by the centaur as companions to help with hunting, herding, and -
most recently - healing
. One example is Berrel, who can be found in Maruukai.
What's more, we've seen reports of an event relating to petting the dog. While we haven't witnessed it ourselves yet, Twitter user

took part in a group event that required petting the bakar Ellam, who is officially a <Good Girl>. Participating in the event rewards the buff
