Blizzard has decided to have some fun now that the month of March has come in full swing, and they are asking players of the Blizzard Universe to join in on the fun that is called March Badness!
March Badness had eight of the most interesting bad guys in the Warcraft history go head-to-head to find out who is truly the baddest of the bad. While the polls have closed on
Twitter
and
Facebook
, we want to highlight a few awesome things about each villain that makes them a little bit special to players in the Warcraft universe, and how you can interact with them in game (boss fights, quests, items, etc).
The Lich King
After the Third War, Arthas Menethil, the fallen prince of Lordaeron, was summoned to the Frozen Throne to serve his duties as a loyal death knight. Fighting off the forces of Illidan Stormrage, Arthas broke the ice surrounding his master, donning the Lich King's helm and merging with him. Years later, the Alliance and Horde would kill Arthas, but they discovered that his vast army of undead, the Scourge, would always need to be controlled by a Lich King.
Players love The Lich King, so much so that players even want to dress up as him! During the event of
Noturnália
, if you save up 200 Tricky Treats, you can purchase
Fantasia Maravilhosa: "O Lich Rei"
and dress up as the fallen prince himself! However, simply looking like Arthas himself isn't enough for some players. Every week, multiple times, some even more than 5 times a week, pay a visit to the castle of our beloved king. Yes
Cidadela da Coroa de Gelo
! Here they repeatedly face the horrors and dangers that this place will forever encompass, all for slim chance that they may obtain Arthas Menethil's beloved friend in life and death;
Rédeas do Invencível
! Regardless, if you are lucky or unlucky enough to obtain the beloved horse, make sure to pay your respects at
Invencível
grave. The Lich King has been around, and has had his hand in many battles. Even before March Badness he fought Illidan in the past. You can even relive that great battle by following the questline
Oportunidade
. If you have already done the quest and still want to see the great battle again, check out Nobbel's
video

Arthas Menthil Lore Video
Illidan Stormrage
Driven by his thirst for power and his conviction that the Burning Legion must be destroyed at any cost, the night elf Illidan Stormrage temporarily sided with the Legion during the War of the Ancients. He studied the demons' spellcasting for a time, then rejoined Azeroth's defenders and used his new knowledge to defeat the invaders. During the Third War, Tyrande released Illidan from millennia of imprisonment, hoping that the Betrayer would help drive back a new invasion by the Legion. Though Illidan fought the demons, he soon slipped into darkness: after absorbing the fel energies of the Skull of Gul'dan, Illidan became a demon, an act for which he was banished by Malfurion.
Illidan is a misunderstood bad guy. Yea, he's stepped on a few toe's but before that he was just wrongfully accused all around! You can start learning a bit of Illidan and his demon hunters as early as level 46 with the quest
PROCURA-SE: o Caçador de Demônios
. But to really dive into Illidan's background before our battle with him at Black Temple, you'll want to check out
O segredo comprometido
, but if you have already done that quest but still want to see or remember what happened you can
watch it here
. Once you've brushed up on that, there are a few things you can get to feel as cool as Illidan is. First off you can imitate his awesome tattoo's by getting your hands on either
Tabardo Roxo Comemorativo dos Illidari
or
Tabardo Verde Comemorativo dos Illidari
. After that you can work your way into
Templo Negro
you can make your way up to Illidan, knock him around a bit get a chance at his sweet
Visão Amaldiçoada de Sargeras
if you are a leather wearer, but if you are REALLY lucky, you can get one of his fabled
Glaive de Guerra de Azzinoth
. Lastly, you can join in aiding Illidan to the moment in time where everything turned for him in
Nascente da Eternidade
. There is a ton of lore for Illidan Stormrage, brush up on it by watching Nobbel's video on
The Lore on Illidan Stormrage
.
Kil'jaeden
Seduced long ago by promises of power from the dark titan Sargeras, the eredar demon lord Kil'jaeden leads the Burning Legion as demons scorch entire worlds with fel corruption. His agenda is evil: consume life and magic, assimilate every possible race into the Legion's ranks, slay any who dare resist, and ultimately destroy all of creation.
We had a mere glimpse of the power of Kil'jaeden in the
Platô da Nascente do Sol
which was found in
Ilha de Quel'Danas
. This zone itself is something that Warcraft did that was pretty fantastic. The zone unlocked parts of itself based on the servers progression, based on the amount of dailies done. You could gain a unique tabard and title in the end of it all. The zone as housed not only the
Platô da Nascente do Sol
raid but as well as the
Terraço dos Magísteres
which you were able to get not only the
Feniquinha
pet but as well as
Falcostruz Branco Veloz
mount and
Orbe dos Sin'dorei
toy! Seriously, its a great dungeon for collectors. Anyhow back to Kil'jaeden. Even though he is very involved in the lore of all of Warcraft, he really isn't shown off enough in the game (yet?). However when you do get to tussle with him in the Sunwell he does drop a few sweet items, including the legendary
Thori'dal, a Fúria das Estrelas
! Pay him a visit sometime if you are a transmog collector, you wont regret it! If you want to learn more about this big burning legion dude, check out Nobbel's
Lore about Kil'jaeden
Deathwing
Formerly the black dragon Neltharion, leader of the black dragonflight and one of the five Dragon Aspects, Deathwing was given dominion over the earth by the titans. In an unfortunate turn of fate, the titans had long ago imprisoned twisted beings of pure evil known as Old Gods deep beneath the surface of Azeroth. Despite their captivity, the Old Gods' power was so great that they drove Neltharion to madness, and he turned against the other Dragon Aspects. Deathwing spurred the Second War by sabotaging the Alliance in the guise of Daval Prestor, a human lord, and helping the Horde enslave the red Dragon Aspect, Alexstrasza. By the time he was defeated and killed, Deathwing's goal had become nothing less than the Hour of Twilight: the end of all life on Azeroth.
Who doesn't love dragons?! Along with The Lich King, you can also look just like Deathwing's humanoid form with 200 tricky treats! Only during the event of
Noturnália
, you can save up your treats and get
Fantasia Maravilhosa: "Asa da Morte"
and look just like the Aspect of Death! Well, when he's in human form...he still smolders and has that wicked metal jaw. You can see Deathwing's destruction all over Azeroth in its present day. During the cataclysm he caused such a ruckus he changed the landscape forever in places like
Sertões Meridionais
,
Mil Agulhas
,and
Ermos
. Speaking of Badlands, one of the most memorable quests for players that involve our lovable dragon is
O dia em que o Asa da Morte veio
. If you haven't done this quest, you really should, trust me. Apart from the costume, you can still dress up like Deathwing. If you are a warrior you can get the teir set in Dragon Soul, for other platewearers there's still a way! There are a few items in
Alma Dragônica
that match his attire perfectly if you are a plate wearer!

C'thun
The Old God C'Thun is an unfathomably evil entity whose pervasive power has suffused Azeroth since time immemorial. Imprisoned in the depths of Azeroth long ago by the titans, C'Thun freed itself in recent years. Champions of the Alliance and Horde chose not to wait for the Old God to build up its strength. They invaded the city-kingdom of Ahn'Qiraj, fighting countless qiraji and silithid before finally confronting and killing the malevolent god. Even so, it is unknown whether Azeroth has truly seen the last of C'Thun.
One of the first bosses that gave players nightmares, not only because of how horrible he looked, not because of the whispers C'thun slithered into your head, but because he was one of the games earliest difficult bosses. C'thun is a boss where his design came straight out of a nightmare. Tentacles, large piercing eyes, many teeth and many mouths. He literally ate you. If you have never seen or encountered this boss, you really should, throughout the zone of
Ahn'Qiraj
as you make your way through, defeating =it's foes, you begin to hear C'thun whispering into your head. Sadly because he was one of the earlier bosses, there aren't that many flavor items to get from him apart from
Tentáculo Derrotado de C'Thun
which summons one of his tentacles. C'thun is an Old God. There are quite a few all around Azeroth, and they are all bad news. Other notable Old Gods are
Yogg-Saron
and Y'shaarj, who we only saw fragments of that were the Sha. Old Gods are pretty much the ultimate evil we know that lives in Azeroth. They have had a tentacle in almost every notable turning point in our history. Learn more by watching Nobbel's video about
Old Gods.
Ragnaros
Until recent times, the Firelord was the incredibly powerful ruler of all fire elementals and the destroyer of Thunderaan, Prince of Air. Wielding Sulfuras, an enormous mace of flaming red elementium, Ragnaros tried to burn down the World Tree Nordrassil while Deathwing and the Twilight's Hammer cult fought to bring about the Hour of Twilight.
Ragnaros, so full of fury and rage that we had to do battle with him not once but twice! First, unknown to us, had awoken him a bit to early and had to battle him at only a fragment of his power in
Núcleo Derretido
. To this day people still battle him here for their chance at getting the materials to make
Sulfuras, a Mão de Ragnaros
and
Tormentária, Lâmina Sagrada do Perseguidor dos Ventos
. You will see Ragnaros a second time but this time he was waiting for you and at full power in his home turf
Terras do Fogo
. Here he burned the corpses of many adventurers alike! Those who were lucky to defeat him were able to get his updated hammer model this go around
Sulfuras, a Mão Extinta
as well as had a change to get
Ovo Fumegante de Millagazor
. You can even own your own miniature version of the Fire Lord himself! In the blizzard in game shop you can purchase a
Ragnarinho
pet that shares a few of his signature animations as well as acts as a cooking fire! There is an elemental lord for each element in Azeroth, of course Ragnaros being the hottest of the bunch. You can learn more about
The Lore on Ragnaros
here.
Algalon the Observer
When Alliance and Horde champions slew the corrupted titanic watcher Loken, his death triggered an automatic failsafe, summoning the constellar Algalon the Observer to investigate. In the Celestial Planetarium in Ulduar, he possesses the power to trigger the re-origination of the planet and bring about the end of all life on Azeroth.
Located in
Ulduar
most players didn't know how to get to him at first or even knew such a being existed. Only after defeating The Assembly of Iron, a back door would open and players would be able to loot
Disco de Dados do Archivum
, and start this mysterious quest where people had no idea what they were getting into. After defeating the the Keepers in their most difficult of settings were they able to gain the sigils that could unlock this door that lead them to this grand being of unimaginable power. Those who defeated Algalon (and thus saving our world one second from being destroyed) were gifted with some items that had such a grand and unique model unlike anything before its time such as
Presa do Esquecimento
,
Gume de Estilhaço Estelar
, and
Cosmos
. Algalon was the first being we saw that was literally made from stars. Later on we would see this theme used again with the
Corcel Celestial
purchased in the ingame shop,
Dragão Celestial
from obtaining 150 unique pets, and even another boss
Elegon
, who also had more unique models with the celestial theme as well as
Rédeas da Serpente das Nuvens Astral
. I wonder if we will see more celestial beings in our future.
Murlocs
Yar grrrblll murrrblurrrgle! Mrghlllghh! Wharhoorlbrg hlrborl hworlgblolbr, grrbllrggll rrugglmuglog. Mrghlllghh!
What would Warcraft be without Murlocs? These creatures are our trademark! They brought us anguish and fear in our early levels, collecting the scales or eyes of a few of them brought horror and death when we would be swarmed unknowingly. However they also can be... kind of..cute... There are very few murloc pets that can still be obtained apart from
Terky
who is the only one you can easily obtain at the moment. Most of them were only obtainable during promotional events such as Blizzcon 2015
Murkidan
. There is even an extremely rare
Fantasia de Murloc
that was given to those from Blizzcon 2007. Still Murlocs no matter the level, can be found all over our world of Azeroth, even mutated versions can be found in different worlds, even different universes! Murky is a Heroes of the Storm...hero? Murlocs are even a spokesperson for a noodle shop in the new Blizzard game Overwatch! MRRGL!
