How to Use the Recrafting System to Improve Crafted Gear in Dragonflight

Are you tired of crafted gear becoming outdated within days of crafting it? Have you decided that crafted gear isn't even worth making right now, since you'll have to spend more gold on upgrading it soon after? Maybe you do want a piece of crafted gear, but are stressed out about picking the wrong stats or bonuses for it. If any of these sound like you, we have good news: Recrafting is a brand new system in Dragonflight, which allows your crafted items to stay useful and relevant throughout the expansion!
Recrafting in Dragonflight
Recraft Equipment is a new option for each crafting profession in Dragonflight, found within the profession menu or when sending a Personal Crafting Order, which allows you to change the quality and Optional Reagents of your item without having to pay the full price for it again. Not only does this save you gold, but you also get to save scarce BoP crafting reagents, like

, to use on other pieces of gear, instead of completely remaking the same piece over again.
For example, if you opened a Crafting Order for
Espinhos de Ombro de Selvatrama Vibrante
during the first week of the expansion, before crafters had their professions maxed out, you probably ended up with a low Quality item, but it isn't stuck that way forever.
With Recrafting, you could add the
Magazine de Dardos Curativos
embellishment to the existing item by placing a Recrafting order with the new materials at a fraction of the original cost. Not only is it far cheaper, but you won't have to spend another
Centelha de Engenhosidade
to remake the item!
Once Mythic+ releases, this piece of gear would get outdated pretty quick due to higher item level drops, but with the Recrafting system, you can continue to upgrade its item level to be competitive. As you complete dungeons, you can gain materials to create a
Infusão Primeva
or
Infusão Primeva Concentrada
, which can be used with Recrafting orders to increase item level all the way to 418, on par with Mythic raid drops!
The player has decided to recraft their ring with a new Embellishment effect which randomly fires healing darts!
