A Curious Coin
A single, strange coin sits in your bag, along with a small note:
"Thank you for the opportunity to observe you. The information I've gathered has been illuminating, to say the least. This will be my final gift... for now."
While the note isn't signed, we suspect we know who left it for us - or at least, who they work for.
Shadreen, the Watcher, is a Void Ethereal who seems to have been watching us for some time, often organizing little events to make the process easier. One example is the Trial of Style, where staying around after Trial is done can result in overhearing the following conversation between her and the event's organizers:
Shadreen says: Have you gathered the information I require?
Nastasia Flairwatcher says: Yes, here are the results.
Shadreen says: ...you have done well. My master shall be pleased to see this.
During the Brawler's Guild questline in
Battle for Azeroth
, Shadreen sent the Void Ethereal Xan-Sallish to observe us. One of the items rewarded after defeating Xan-Sallish is the
Tomo dos Garranchos Trevosos
, which contains this order.
You are my eyes when my eyes are elsewhere. See everything. Remember, record, report. The way they move, the way they fight, their choice of armor, their taste in weapons. Let no detail elude you.
Pay special attention to the heroes, the champions, the movers of fate. Watch from afar. Watch when up close. Interfere, if you deem it necessary.
Do not fail me, Xan-Sallish. Know that I have eyes on you, too.

In-game, Void Elves can sometimes spot Shadreen in Telongrus Rift, where she seems friendly, but observant, often watching from far above, atop places that are impossible to reach.
Shadreen's "gift", along with growing hints that we're not quite as done with the Old Gods as we might think, helps to continue to put the Void on our radar. While it's unlikely this will translate into a major threat right away, it definitely seems like we could have tentacles in our future if we're not careful.
