I've kill Breezebiter 16 times so far. 8 times in each warmode (on/off).
It ALWAYS respawned after 50min-1 hour after last death.
So far no mount drop. Seem's to be about 0,95% chance.

The EXACT point it ALWAYS spawned for me was in 28.46 47.95 in The Azure Span.

Edit: Just got it at my try 31. Same day, same char. THERE IS NO CAP. All that i've said is still valid.
Just an odd thing: In just one of the tries, it spawned in about 10 minutes. IDKW.

Mascabrisa is flying high in the sky on a Slyvern in Vasta Lazúli around /way #2024 27.0 48.4 Breezebiter
It might be hard to notice him at first, as he flies a large circle and pretty high up. Pull him down by flying close to him to aggro.

Just adding to the limited data: I got the mount after 54 attempts. Level 65 0/4 Azure Span quests. All of the kills were on my main character, so as of now this is spammable. He flies a big loop so be sure to use a macro and check the area!

Can confirm you can get this to drop on the SAME toon after multiple kills on the same day, just got it to drop after about 30+ kills today on my DH (been doing about 30 kills a day since Wednesday evening).

Based on my quick calculations, he respawns on average on 60-100 minutes.

Some advice:
Use the world boss groups for realm hopping, most of them are auto accept.
Once you are in a group, fly around the area where Breezebiter flies, you can see the route with rarescanner. While you are flying, spam a target macro:
/target Breezebiter
Also, turn on the target symbol on the minimap so you can see where your target is, because Breezebiter flies around pretty fast and you can lose the target quick - the point is, when he's flying around, it can be pretty easy to miss him, which works in your favour since a lot of people will just be waiting at the mouth of the cave.
It helps to be a MM hunter with a lot of mastery because of the extra range.
It took me 4 kills and about 30 or so realm hops to get the mount. I have seen some saying much higher numbers, I don't know if the drop chance has been increased, but its definitely worth a few tries. If you're a hunter you can get a matching pet in the Azure Span, but since they are feathermanes you will need to have used Tome of the hybrid beast, which you can get with the same questline as the hunter class mount in Legion, which is not too hard and can be done in a day (and a big reason for that is timegating on the combat table, the quests themselves are pretty quick and easy).
Hope this helps anyone trying to get the mount.

Took me 238 tries to get the mount Rédeas da Astutícora Liberta I had multiple toons level 60+ parked on the tree stump (for the purpose of grinding this mount since I don't plan on levelling them yet.) on different servers (some war mode on and some war mode off) and would check them occasionally at different times of the day.

It dropped on my level 60 character and it was his 4th try of the day.

One tip I would use is use a target macro (since Breezebiter won't show up on the minimap) : and fly around in a circle around the area.

I had the mount drop on the first and only kill yesterday. I was looking for the cave that it spawns from only to have RS pop up showing it. Needless to say, it went well. Sad though it can't be used in the dragon isles.

Be warned, this is one of the worst mount camps. It's elite not rare so only 5 people at a time can tag it. That means no community farm like Soundless. Drop chance is around 1% so have fun with that.

Got it around the 140 mark. Looks cool at least. Great for an edgy vulpera character

The Liberated Slyvern. To get this mount you’ll need to kill the elite Breezebiter. He spawns in the Azure Span. Breezebither has approximately has a 1 to 2 hour respawn timer. You can kill him multiple times a day. He has about a two percent chance of dropping this mount.

Me and my buddy where realm hopping on our main and alts and I think I killed it less then 50 times. Some where along the way I picked up this random guy and was bring him on our realm hopping. I went to check my server on my Alliance and it dropped for me and every one was happy for me. Since I got the mount I still got onto my horde char and check that server for them and it dropped a second time for me. I was able to trade it to my buddy and he was happy. I felt bad for my new buddy so every day when I got home from work I would realm hop with him to my servers and finally after a week a third one dropped. I can't stop laughing because the third one dropped for me and I was able to give it to him.

The spawn time is mostly around an hour and half but every now and again it will be over 2 hours.

When DF first dropped, I obsessed over this mount all patch. Farmed him on different toons, different servers, no luck. No idea how many times I've killed him at this point.

I decided to swing by on my way to BH+19. Killed Breezebiter, and the mount drops. I was streaming to a friend in discord and just about busted his eardrums...

I saw Breezebiter at /way 26.08 46.40 Breezebiter on my first attempt to capture him. Unfortunately someone else already tagged him. I helped kill him hoping I would get the drop to but didn't happen. Best spot to camp seems to be the big tree trunk sticking out of the ground (/way 26.66 46.30).

I perched up there and noticed a purple stick (/way 26.66 46.30 Purple stick). The purple stick will attract the bird "Pepper Hammer" that flies around allow it to be captured. It gives you a pet called "Blackfether Nester".

Finally got mine today after 188 attempts over the past 2 weeks. Found I was able to get a lot of kills in realm hopping last week with the world boss being active in the zone. Was using the addon NPC time and found that if I got sharded and the npcs in the area were 5mins or less breezebiter was likely flying around his route. Best of luck to everyone else still farming this.

Dropped for me today on Thrall-US 12:50 PM EST. 61 kills in total and I can confirm with certainty the spawn is between 1-2 hours. If it is longer you sharded and weren't aware. I found it really helpful to start a timer on each kill and login at the one-hour mark. Earliest I saw him spawn was 1 hour 3 mins and as late as 1 hour 58 mins. Happy hunting all!

I started seriously farming this recently, and so far here have been my experiences on a max pop server with 10 kills and no server hopping;

So far, with the (limited) data i've collected, the spawn timer is on average 80 minutes, with the shortest being 49 minutes, and longest being almost two hours. Hope this data is useful for others!
I set a timer for 45 minutes after every kill to come back to camp it.

I got this mount on my 47th attempt.

I ran a stopwatch for every kill just to collect data. He always spawns at the entrance of the cave, and begins flying away from the entrance immediately.

The spawns were in the 1hr - 2hr range, with one kill actually being an odd outlier, 2h 15m and one being as early as 50m. 1hr - 2hr is pretty safe.

You can definitely loot it multiple times per day, my 47 kills were across a five day span and it was certainly not my first kill of the day that the mount dropped for me.

As I waited nearly two hours for Breezebiter to spawn so I could complete my 156th kill today, I saw a priest fly down less than two minutes before Breezebiter spawned. We killed him, and while I looted nothing but a handful of gold I saw the telltale golden glow of a newly-learned mount on said priest and they proudly mounted their Liberated Slyvern and pranced around on it. I congratulated them and asked them how many kills they had. They told me that they had just learned about this drop and that this was their first kill.

/Facepalm. While I certainly don't begrudge this priest their lucky drop, this is simply horrible design. This isn't the first time I've seen someone get the mount only to have them tell me that they got it on their first try, while I've killed this infuriating mob over 150 times without receiving it and I've seen far higher kills than even I have without receiving the mount. A 2-3% drop rate on a mount that drops from a mob that spawns very infrequently is just absurd. I would rather the spawn be much rarer but guaranteed upon kill, or for this to have a 15-20% drop rate instead of the 2-3% drop rate that it likely has. And that's all that I have to say about that.

I'm posting this here now that I have the mount and I'm not worried about anyone abusing my method and preventing me from getting a tag. Took me about 320 kills to get it to drop. I started just before the archives event kicked off by waiting and just camping outside the cave. This was boring and not very fruitful. Once the archive event kicked off it became much easier to farm him. I went from 50 kills in a month to 270 kills in just a few weeks. Here's how:

Set your hearth for iskaara, and dragon ride over to the event every hour around the X:20 mark. Fly counterclockwise around the dig while spamming a macro with /tar breezebiter. After your lap go park on the fallen tree and start searching for "dig" in custom group finder. Try to catch them early before they fill up too much and do a lap with each group you get invited to and then drop group after you kill breeze (or if he's not there). You will average at least a kill per hour with this, sometimes I was able to get 3-4 at a time due to how many dig groups were up. Any group nearby to the event will shard you so look for decay, brekkenhide, or even primal storm farms. The Cobalt assembly works as well.

Realm hopping is your friend in getting this mount, I have 7 alts scattered across low population realms.
Camp your alts on the little hill next to the cave, check the wyvern's patrol area 10 minutes past every hour so x:10

Having a friend that can do the same really speeds up the process as you can invite eachother into your zones

Using this method i got 19 kills in a little over 30 hours

Got my slyvern after about 120 kills, and my extremely low-effort farming method was to park an alt in the big dig site, and log in between x:37-x:38, and Breezebiter was up 2 times out of 3, maybe even more often. Had a macro /tar Breezebiter and flew two laps around the dig site spamming it before parking and logging out. For some reason, if I logged in around x:30 or x:40, it was rare to find Breezebiter. Hope this works for someone else too!

If you are reading this and it is still DF, I highly, highly recommend you prioritize this mount grind above all others. Prior to the introduction of the hourly dig event you were stuck waiting out the 2-3 hour spawn timer for this mob at his spawn point by his cave. With the dig event occurring every hour at the X:30 mark, new shards (basically phases) are often generated which instantly spawn a new BB mob. With some luck you can get two or even three kills on a single character within the span of a few minutes when the dig event is active (e.g. log in and kill BB, join a dig group and kill BB in the group leader's shard, leave group then get put on a new shard and kill BB again). Depending on the age of the shard he will either be walking outside his cave (shard is brand new) or doing laps around the dig site (shard is older than a minute)

So you are starting on this grind you will want:
1) an okay geared level 70 (at ilvl 390 I could easily kill him).
1a) if using multiple characters you will want them to be part of different cross realm server zones to prevent overlap. I also would not recommend using RP servers as they do not shard as often.
1b) if using multiple characters, have at least one character of both factions. This will allow you to see dig groups in group finder for both factions (i.e. access to an additional shard).
2) Some sort of shard tracking addon or NPC Time (which I used). With NPC time just hover your curser over the goats near the northern part of the dig site or some of the friendly dig NPCs (not the ones that spawn with the dig events however) to see how old the shard is.
3) a /tar Breezebiter macro to spam.

Using NPC time you can quickly determine the likelihood BB is up: if the shard is 5-10 minutes old (but not less than a minute) there is a good chance that he is doing laps around the dig site. The longer the shard is up the lower the chance that BB is up but it is almost always worth doing a single lap around the dig site spamming your target macro. I have seen BBs as old as 20 minutes.
If NPC time shows the shard is very low (less than a minute) BB is likely walking out of his cave or just started his laps around the dig site.

So your new BB farming schedule will look like this: log in around XX:30 or slightly after > do a lap spamming a macro and kill BB if you see him > look for a dig group in custom groups (useful for the first Alliance/Horde character you check) > do another lap around the dig site spamming the macro > leave group after kill or no BB is found > once you phase back check the NPCs to see if you were put on a new shard.

With this method and two characters (one Horde and one Alliance) I was able to get as many as 16 kills in a single day (days I was working from home and could constantly check), but usually a good 5-6 on days when I could only check after work.

My major issue (o7) while camping this rare for the past weeks (currently 53 attempts) is the phasing into a shard where there are either very few (easy to miss) or none indicators that I have been phased. Either no treasures spawned, or there weren't any players with me and if they were perhaps they phased along with me, etc you know the drill. I couldn't find a weak aura or addon that could help tracking this so I thought of this weak aura that will just play a sound and yell "POSSIBLE PHASING" whenever I lose my target which will only happen on a phase change.

Weak Aura: The way it currently works is that you need to have a target. If you for any reason lose that target, the weakaura will get triggered and shout "POSSIBLE PHASING", so it can be spam-friendly. The usual target I have, which doesn't patrol or does not usually get killed, is the Crag Walker found atop the cliff.

Here are also some info I learned:

My camp spot is usually just on the inclined path going up the cliff overlooking the cave and the path BB takes. Sometimes I was phased after he has already left the cave and almost started flying. Although, sometimes it is better to camp near the cave if its crowded because if it spawns there, it usually gets killed in 3-4 seconds.

I also use Dragonscale Expedition's Expedition Tent, Gnoll Tent, Market Tent. A good visual indicator for when I get phased. If you don't already know, if the tent disappears it either expired (15 mins) or you have been phased. Usually, it is useful whenever I take a lap around the dig site, or doing the dig site, and I cannot find the tent after I return.
You can sometimes be double phased with a time difference of a few seconds, so I try to instantly spawn a tent whenever I get phased just to be aware of that.
The word "phase" now sounds funny.

I got this on my first kill. Randomly stumbled across Breezebiter while wandering around. Thought it looked cool so I killed it for the first time ever. Mount dropped. Thank GOD I don't have to farm this. Finding out that less than 1% of players have it is cool lol

I got it by parking my lvl 50 alt in chromie time warmode on and logging in every 2 hours (max spawn time). There is no a daily lockout for this rare so you can kill it multiple times on one char, I already had few kill on it the day I got it.

The sheer reward of never having to do this mindless farm ever again and waste sooooo much time checking in on your alts every 30-45 minutes while praying to the RNG gods for the mount to drop far outstrips the value of actually having obtained the mount itself... With that said, the mount finally dropped for me on my 160th attempt. The nightmare is over, at last.

Dropped for me after 78 kills.

The two hour spawn window, with the spawn always occurring in the second hour, is correct.
The mob will die instantaneously to abilities. If you are camping with ungrouped friendly players, be sure to simply melee it or group with them.
I only ever camped with war mode on. Far less people. Never had more than 5 camping, so cannot confirm if the 5 max tag is still an issue.
Be aware that if the opposing faction is camping at the same time, they can very easily kill swipe.
As a druid, I frequently Dreamwalked, used the Amirdrassil portal and flew to Azure Span. On a medium pop regular server with WM on, entering Azure Span would often would generate a new zone (confirmed by using NPCTime) and spawn Breezebiter with it (not every time, but enough for me to check frequently)
Queuing for dungeons may pull you out of the shard and put you in another. I often flip flopped between 2 different shards when queuing for timewalking dungeons. Use NPCTime to see how long things have been up
Any time you suspect you've switched shards, fly a wide oval around the archeology site down the hill and spam a /tar breeze macro.
Addons suck at detecting this thing. Sometimes the sound will go off only on the corpse. Sometimes Rarity never even picked up the kill. While tabbed out, I sat directly in the opening of the cave so the mob would immediately melee me upon spawn.
As with any other open world rare, best times to camp were early morning/super late night. Had the best luck running into long-left-alive spawns at the beginning of a new season when everyone was busy doing new content.

All in all, my best method was simply camping for hours a day with the game open while working from home. The sharding issue is definitely less infuriating than it was in DF era due to lack of traffic in the zone. Made a few friends (and some horde enemies). Good luck all!

Took me 130 attempts to get it.

Spawn time still 60-120 minutes (no longer, no less). If you're in a high pop shard, recommend using a hunter with high-explosive trap (35 sec cd but the trap remains on the ground for 60 seconds) to tag the rare before it gets nuked down. As a courtesy, I recommend being naked on a level 80 with an heirloom bow so you yourself don't 1 shot the rare and give others a chance to tag it. My level 80 did about 1% of the bosses hp via the trap.

I did not run into the new shard/weird phasing issues that others noted in 11.1. It seemed like Azure Span was always loaded in on all my shards (very high pop to extremely low pop WM on shards). If I didn't see anyone camping the rares spawn location (coords below), I would fly to where it does it's airborne circle and camp on the rock (coords below) then wait about 1 minute. If I didn't see it fly by then I know it's dead. I did not camp at the Rock location because you may get phased into the archive event.

Just wanted to lift the spirits of those farming this mount — it does drop.
I got mine after 625 attempts over the course of about 7 months.
During that time, I went through all the stages of acceptance... and when it finally dropped, I barely felt anything.
But it did drop.
So don’t give up — keep trying, and one day it’ll be your turn too. Good luck!

Just want to apologize to everyone farming this. Wanted a rare mount, found it on page 1 of dataofazeroth and thought I'd go give it a go.

1 kill - 1 mount.

If you're going to camp for this, I highly recommend doing at least one of two things.

First, war mode always. Get a basic set of honor gear (just farm comp stomp if you suck at the game or join a crate farm group) and camp it in war mode. If the opposite faction shows up on any kind of character, a lowbie, a geared 80, a leveling green 80, etc, kill them. Make them go back to non war mode. This is your spot now. If they want it, they can kill you for it. Most will just leave and not try.

Second, go to an RP server. War mode RP servers are incredibly dead. I was getting about 5 kills a day with one character parked at it, only periodically logging in to do a lap and see if he was up, and killing anyone I saw that I could to drive them away.

Don't ever feel bad about killing someone up for camping it. They opted into war mode and accepted the risk. Their presence is likely slowing you down and wasting your time.

Took me about 3 days of periodically looking and roughly 20 kills. Good luck.

It dropped today for me, let me give you my statistics.

Total Looting attempts: 137
Tracked timer kills: 64
The 64 kills happened within 5 days.

I was farming him with 2 Accounts on 2 different Realms = x4 Chance.
Why x4? You have double the chance of Breezebiter spawning, and when he does, you can double loot it.
As of double lootings my 64 tracked timer kills resulted in 128 looting attempts. (And yes, thats very satisfying for me)

Time in "hours:minutes"
Minimum respawn was 01:01
Maximum respawn was 01:59
Average respawn was 01:29
Median respawn was 01:35

That means, when you kill him, you have atleast 1 hour spare time where you can do something else.

Hopefully this helps someone, or atleast the people that love statistics as much as I do.

It droped today for me, after months and months i started to check 2 to 3 times a day last week with:

1 character level 80 in WM,
1 character level 80 not in WM
1 character level 65

You have way more chance with a character low level (make sure you can kill it) and and one in WM, I guess I could have done it with a low level char in WM too but I found her making her round almost everytime with those 2 alts.

My cousin who introduced me to this technique still don't have her, he is going to be mad tomorrow.... wellll

Got this today on my 35th kill.

Since you can kill it over and over each day I just set up 2 toons (WM on and off) and did about 5 kills each a day using World Boss Timers addon to track the shards and spawns. I think I got it pretty quick compared to most experiences mentioned here.
