So obviously the new horse models are gorgeous, but there's one detail that really stood out to me - the leg boots. Unlike most video game horse armor, it's facing backwards, which is how horse boots work in real life - the tendons and ligaments are especially vulnerable and leg boots help to protect and support them. The cinch is also correctly positioned, more towards the shoulder than directly around his belly. It's such a tiny thing but it really shows how much thought and care went into designing the new models :D.

What the heck is wrong with the designers? Even in the preview I thought that looks dangerous and yes, while riding it the peg that holds that lantern is rammed over and over again into the back of the head.

Comentário de LegendaryDross

The physics on this are very cool. When riding, the lantern swings out to the back and it also leaves a trail of tiny sparks behind it. It has great sound effects, too. You can really hear the armor pieces and leather straps squeaking while you're riding.

FUN HORSE FACT: The racehorse called Red Rum trained by running in shallow beach water on the sand. He had a seemingly-incurable bone disease, but galloping across the beach seemed to heal his hooves and nobody is completely sure why.

The mount does not fly. Be warned!

Comentário de Weper

You can use it as Horde player with "/cast Seabraid Stallion".
Edit: If you play with a non-english client you have to replace the "Seabraid Stalion" with the translated name of the mount.

I actually like the design of this despite how people are raving over the ravasaur, would be nice to roleplay with this while Poção Negra Retinta is active and walking slow, making patrols in the night while the soft glow of the lantern keeps ya company

The mount is awesome but i kinda expected more of a "warhorse". By this i mean a horse in full Kul Tirasian armor and mostly without the big saddle and the lantern on it.

This mount looks quite dull and underwhelming with its current color scheme and lack of contrast. Kul Tiras' tabards were bright green/gold or white/gold in Classic, so why not be consistent? Suffice it to say I bought the Digital Deluxe edition for the Ravassauro Dourado and not this mount. /shrug

Unfortunately, that tiny, barely visible little orange flame is all you get from the lantern. It projects no light, neither into the metalwork, the mount, or the environment. In dark environments, especially when motion is making the candle hard to see, it may as well not be there at all. So, any hopes you may have had for looking cool galloping through the night are dashed.

This is a gorgeous horse, check out the flowing braids when you gallop. It is also the only one of the new horses that doesn't cause your character to rock forward and back like you're on a rocking horse when you ride. I don't personally care for the big wooden saddle and the lantern but I know others do, and it's a fair trade-off for me given how awesome the rest of the tack is.

Update: The other new horses are fixed, no more rocking! Thanks Blizz!

Well there is a lot to be said about ol' Lex (I named mine that). One thing, the braids and lantern move, which is just freaking amazing. Two, the sounds when it moves are top notch, and there is a sound when it lands from a jump is really awesome and not present on any other new model.

Then there is the tack, yeah the lantern is a bit much, but it's not as bad as most think. I barely notice it anymore honestly. The saddle is gorgeous, there is some saddle barding that looks great, a nice green color with yellow trim, the reins also have this barding in same design and color scheme.

There are two pistols on the horses backside that are a nice addition, plus a rope, a blanket and a saddle bag. The detail is amazing. The physics are amazing.

Now for the color of the horse. I love the two tone mane and tale with the dark grey almost black coat, the mane/tail are same color as coat with only the tips a dull white. The feathers (fur above the hooves) are also a dull white. It makes for a nice contrast and stands out wonderfully.

The armor on the horse, not to be confused with the tack, is a dark reddish brown (more brown that reddish brown) and sits on the horse like it was painted there, but the detail of the armor is really amazing, it has separate plates going along the neck to make up the neck armor, plus belts and loops in various places all over the tack/armor, and the face plate has small barely noticeable spikes. There are boots/leggings for the horse which are properly placed in the correct spot facing the correct way.

All in all, someone, maybe some people, put a lot of effort into this horse. It turned out gorgeous, it's only flaw is that lantern which is the biggest complaint other than it doesn't fly. It was well worth the extra 20 dollars to buy collectors instead of standard. I use it ALL the time, and I have all 3 of the new horse, dapple grey, admiralty stallion and smoky charger.

I don't personally understand the disappointment of people here about this mount. I for one, think this is the best land mount they have ever done. Its my opinion. Just because something isn't bloody gold doesn't mean its dull. I swear to god all WOW players are from Essex.
