What don't you like about a Hunter?
If you want another ranged choice, Warlock or Shadow Priest is a good choice. At level 10, you get to choose your specialization. Shadow is one of the Specializations for Priest. A Damage dealing priest, but with plenty of survivability.
What spec did you choose for your Hunter? Beast Mastery is a cool one to try out.

If you're having trouble handling a pet, then a warlock won't be any easier. I'd also recommend against melee classes in general if you're having a hard time with the controls and multi-tasking, since ranged classes don't have to worry as much about positioning. That gives you these options, assuming you want to play a damage-focused character:
Priest, as already mentioned (a good choice IMO, Power Word Shield gives you excellent survivability at low levels), though you might consider Discipline instead of Shadow if you're interested in doing any dungeons.
Mage (Frost mages do have a pet, but in most cases you can just turn on its auto-attack and then forget it's there)
Balance Druid (don't really have much experience with them, but this also gives you the option of switching to a healer, tank, or melee DPS without having to start a new character)
Elemental Shaman (almost as much variety as the druid, aside from not being able to tank)
Once you get a character to level 55, Blood Death Knights are very newb-friendly as far as melee goes - adequate damage output (especially against multiple enemies), easy-to-use abilities, and you're basically immortal as long as you use Death Strike on cooldown and don't do anything
too
stupid (seriously, fresh out of the starting zone I was taking on like twelve enemies at once).

How much micro-managing are you doing on your pet? You can just leave it on assist and ignore it for the most part while leveling.

I agree with Elhonna. I just came back to WoW after a long time away, and the Beast Master Hunter was pretty easy to pick up. The reason? My pet, unlike me, never forgets to use its special abilities when they're ready. So half of the team is always holding up its end, even when the other half -- me -- is falling asleep on the job. :D

I would offer another option if you are looking for a melee character and that would be a rogue as they are pretty easy to get started with and have good survivability and escape skills to boot. Being able to creep about in the shadows is also useful for making some quests quicker to complete as you can sneak in and out without having to fight through throngs of MOB's.
Whatever you choose, just have fun.

I'm a little confused by OP's comments about controlling the pet.
You don't even get the option to control it until level 10, which is the point at which She/he is thinking of quitting.
OP you should play a while longer, Like ElhonnaDS said you really don't need to do much with your pet at all while you level, as long as it is on assist, and you remember to turn growl off in dungeons, you will be perfectly fine without having to micro manage at all.

Well, with a Warlock you don't control it quite as much, and you don't have abilities to make your pet do things, other than Health Funnel.
And, as others have said OP, if you have your pet on assist (not passive), you can just attack stuff with your abilities and the pet will attack what you're attacking. Let us know what you decide on and if you have any other questions.
And, here's a really good site so you can read up on what's best for each class and spec:

I honestly can't think of an easier class than a hunter. It's not an insult- I love hunters, my main is a hunter, and I have 2 of them at 90 because I prefer to raid as a hunter. But they are by far the easiest class. And even if they weren't, every class has more and more moves to work into their rotation, and more things to keep track of, as they level. Any class at level 10 has a small fraction of their total abilities, and will be much simpler than any class will be at 20, 50, 80 or 90.
If you are having trouble multi-tasking, there are some things that might be difficult for you:
Healing- If you heal, you have to be aware of all of your party-members health bars, and make sure you are sending the right sort of heals to the right person at the right time, throughout the fight. Depending on class, you will also be in charge of getting rid of things like poison and curses, of providing shields to all the players in addition to straight heals, and/or actually damaging the boss to generate heals to the other players. Instead of watching one pet bar, you're watching 5, 10 or 25 player bars. Also, you have to make sure you are conserving mana, which can run out during the fight and leave you powerless, and manage any class-specific resources like holy power for paladins or chi for monks.
Tanking- The tank is in charge of knowing where every enemy is at all times, and making sure that he or she has control of all of them. You would have to tab target between multiple enemies to keep threat on all of them, know when to use taunts to keep enemies from peeling off, and keep an eye out for strays that will rush the healer if you're no doing your job. Also, you have to heal yourself, use defensive cooldowns and situational moves to keep yourself alive when the healers aren't enough, and constantly be aware of where you need to position and face the enemies in relation to your party and the room. Also, Tanks generally lead the way through the instances, so they generally have to know more about the dungeon or raid than the other players are required to.
DPS with complicated resource mechanics- Rogues and Feral Druids, in addition to building and spending energy, have to use specific moves to build combo points so that other moves are more effective when they use them. Death Knights have to keep track of 3-4 types of runes, and runic power, to power their different moves. Other classes have similar mechanics where you have to keep track of multiple resources to know what moves you have to and can use.
DPS with a lot of dots to manage- Shadow Priests, Unholy DK's, Feral Druids, and Warlocks (other than Destro) have to keep track of a number of debuffs (curses, diseases, bleeds, etc.) that they put on the enemy, and make sure that when they end, or when they are removed, they reapply them. In addition to watching yourself, you have to keep a sharp lookout on what little icons are below the enemy so you keep on top of those dots.
And in terms of movement, if you have a hunter you're spoiled. No other class can run around at will and keep DPS-ing. Almost all the other ranged have to stand still to get off their biggest moves, and some can cast nearly nothing while on the run. Melee isn't interrupted by movement, but they are constantly having to adjust their position as the boss moves, turns around, is kited by the tank, etc. If you aren't constantly playing keep up with the tank, you end up swinging at the air.
If I was going to recommend the top easiest builds to play in WoW, it would be:
- Hunter- Any Spec- Pets are almost completely self-sufficient, rotation isn't terribly complex, not a lot of cooldowns, no dots to manage (SV dots get refreshed as part of their natural rotation), simple resource management, optimal movement.
- Destro Warlock- Easiest warlock spec to play, no real mana issues, pet is again just about totally self-sufficient, much more mobile than most ranged classes at level 90 if you take KJ's cunning, and the embers are really easy to keep track of.
- Frost mage- Simplest mage spec IMO, no mana issues normally, pet is self-sufficient, everything you need to use at specific times lights up when you need to use it so it's Simon-Says style DPS, and no extra resources to worry about.
If you like WoW and want to give it a serious attempt, then I'd recommend not giving up so easily just because there are suddenly a lot of buttons on the pet bar. 99% of the time, most players won't even look them except to turn growl on or off once at the beginning and end of a dungeon, or maybe to emergency-res their pet once in a while when it dies mid-combat (which doesn't happen that often if they don't have growl on.)

I would also suggest you try to find a welcoming guild with people who would be more than happy to help you. Might be a bit daunting at first but a lot of us are really nice. :)

My main is a hunter. I would just make your pet assist you and you will find it will take all the mobs on at once leaving you to kill them from range.
I found my hunter much faster than my druid and DK to level.
What realm are you in?
Im trying the hunter and priest at the same time.
And another silly question : what does "realm" means here? (Sorry...)
Another word for 'Realm' is 'Server'. It's the server you log in to. For example, I am on the realm 'The Venture Co.'

This is my very first time to try a game like this. What I used to played is more like "games more for girls. "(no offensive).
I'm trying to find a easy way for me to start the game. I checked a lot of information and decide to try hunter first. I'm a level 10 hunter right now. Then I find I don't like it(T-T). So I‘m thinking about creating another character. If anyone could give me some advises on it? Thank u so much.
(BTW, Just find the forum. I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask questions like this, if not, pls tell me where I should go, thank u (^-^) )
Why do females ALWAYS make hunters? Am I the only female who never made one?
Word of advice... try to cut down on the cutsey wai wai kawaii behavior. Also try to cut down on announcing you're a girl at any random and irrelevant chance you get. Those things are really annoying in game.

A lot of players make hunters as a first toon on advice from people on forums like this.
Hunter is the easiest class to play for a new player and as such is probably the most recommended.
I think just as many females roll a priest, But that's just my perception, It could be I just know a higher percentage of female priests than most people.

It is incredibly annoying. Fortunately the technology that would allow me to slap the crap out of people like that over the internet has yet to be invented. (or at the very least perfected)
