Finally something has worked for them. Everywhere the Hammer are, they got smooshed. Silithus, BRD, Ahn'Kahet, but finally, the elemental planes are theirs to play with.
Will we be seeing them as a major force in Cataclysm do you think?
Or will they be reprising their long standing role as cannon fodder?

Meh, they are just slaves for the (spoiler! dont continue read of ya dont want it!) twilight dragonflight, but it would be cool if there actully were more than lv 60 mobs / bosses of them
THIS
time
How do you get to that conclusion?
The Twilight Hammer dont really care much for dragons, they are servants of the elemental lords, and are an off-shoot of an orc clan.
The Twilight Dragonflight are spawns of Neltharion's twisted research, they are similar only in name.

Twilight Cultists = bad

! Of course they are either the same thing, or one serves the other.
EDIT: Okay, that makes me look like a troll.
Of course we'll see more about them. I actually almost recall something about Deathwing and the Twilight Cult. But even if that's not the case, there is plenty of room to see them. Either than, or I am thinking about the Depths of Grim Batol suggestion...

Deathwing is working with the Hammer, convincing them that he wants what they want: Chaos destruction and death, with the reviving of the Old Gods. He creates the Twilight Highlands(Grim Batol) and hands them over to the Hammer to control, he's part of the Ragnaros escaping the Spire and heading for Hyjal to destroy the World Tree. They are working together in this, mainly because they are working for the same thing this time.

Ragnaros was banished back to the elemental plane, and now after the cataclysm which made ways from the elemntal plane into azeroth he returns. It is just a freaking coincidence that the portal to The Firelands is on Mount Hyjal. The Twilight's Hammer serve Deathwing because they saw the destruction and power he wrecked for them (they healed him so he could do it). I hardly believe Deathwing wants to resurrect the old gods since he never knew he served them.

You misread what I said; I said he "convinced" them he want's to resurrect the Old Gods, he remembers full well what they did to him during the War of the Ancients, and has no desire to have the giant tentacled ones on Azeroth again.

The Twilight Hammer is indeed working for Deathwing in Cataclysm. Was officially mentioned/stated or something during BlizzCon.
... I even guessed at a connection back before Ulduar was released as well, and now that it's really happening, I'm quite happy about it. :)

I thought The Twilight Hammer worked for Ragnaros in the original WoW. I remember doing this quest:

They do. But Deathwing has convinced the Twilight's he's doing the work of the Old Gods, who the Elemental Lords work for. So, they are willing to work with the Destroyer to assist him in "reviving" the Old Gods, and bring the Elemental Lords to Azeroth again.

you sure about that? maybe the old gods still have plans for deathwing and because they do(maybe) the twilights hammer are compelled to serve and follow deathwings orders.

The Twilight's Hammer has been obsessed with bringing about apocalyptic violence and chaos in general, ever since they were a clan in the Old Horde. I would assume that any masters they've served between then and now have simply been used as way to achieve this goal. That is to say,
who
they serve isn't really important as long as they're serving something that seeks to destroy a lot of stuff/the whole world. So, switching allegiances is probably inconsequential, since they will still have the same ultimate goal they always did.
