So the
weight scale presets on the site have a tendency to get out of date very quickly. We want to avoid this, but we don't have enough people to do the theorycrafting ourselves—even trying to find and validate the theorycraft that other people have done is extremely difficult and time consuming—especially if you don't play the class in question.
So with that in mind, I'm posting a thread like this in every class forum. What I need is for you guys to let us know what the latest theorycraft is for your class and spec—whether it's Pawn values, an EJ post, something from ShadowPanther, Rawr, or whatever it may be. With this information, we'll be able to keep the weight scales up to date more easily, and make sure we always have the latest info.
What we need:- The actual weight values for each statistic
- A link to the source information for the theorycraft
- About when the theorycraft was done (to make sure it's recent)
Don't forget that no possible set of weight values will be right for EVERY character. Remember that the weight values should be calculated for a character who is
not capped on any stat. We're looking primarily for weight scale results for fresh players of the max level here.
If the weight scales have gone too long without being updated, just put up a post in
Site Feedback directing our attention to the relevant post in this thread.

Does anyone have any numbers for 4.0.1 yet? I am interested in where crit, haste and mastery land. (edit) For Fire
Short answer, crit > mastery > haste for fire, but mastery and haste are close. As of my writing this, scales on wowhead and pawn still rank mastery > haste > crit for fire mages, however.

Intellect - 100 (Intellect is King - the strongest stat by far. Much stronger than even Hit. Intellect is a Primary Stat. It increases our Spell Power, Critical Strike Chance and our Mana. Due to the strength of Intellect: we aggressively Gem, Enchant and Gear towards maximizing the amount present on our gear.)
Crit - -100 (Crit is a strong Fire stat. Why? Because the Fire spec is built around Crit: Hot Streak relies on crits. Flashburn Mastery is more effective when spells Crit (They leave an Ignite, which Flashburn can amplify). Crit rates boost the amount of mana restored by Master of Elements, which in turn allows for more Fireballs to be cast. Combustion is a more powerful (and more easily used) cooldown when spells crit often. Crit is the heart of the Fire spec.)
Hit - 95(Hit is a very strong stat, but still weaker than intellect. You'll need 17% hit (1742 rating) for Tier 11 boss mobs. The value of Hit falls off once you're Hit capped. )
Spell Power - 85 (Spell Power can still be found on weapons and trinket effects. Spell Power is a very strong stat.)
Mastery - 50 (Mastery and Haste are both weaker than Crit. They are both of similar value*. These are the weakest stats you can reforge into Hit.)
Haste - 50 (Mastery and Haste are both weaker than Crit. They are both of similar value*. These are the weakest stats you can reforge into Hit.)
Your weights are way off and that "Fire Mage Compendium" post only applies to Fire, not to mages in general. I did all of the simcraft normalization calcs in my post above, but for the numbers in the current fire mage compendium, the weights (which have changed slightly since I last posted them) are as follows:
Int - 100 (3.7216 raw)
Hit - 82 (3.0677 raw)
Spell Power - 68 (2.5369 raw)
Crit - 52 (1.9366 raw)
Mastery - 37 (1.3588 raw)
Haste - 35 (1.2961 raw)
Note: Simcraft and RAWR currently disagree on the precise value for haste. Take that into account when plugging in stat weights.
