Soul Fire on Backdraft

Is it worth it to fire off a Soul Fire when Backdraft Procs since soul shards are so easy to come by these days. I was thinking not but then I thought what if I had the Empowered Imp's 100% chance of crit was up and my trinkets were up etc etc.

On a different note, I sometimes run a meta spec for support and was wondering if Demonic Pact use the SP I have with all buffs applied or does it just use base.

Personally whenever heroism/bloodlust is popped i switch to soulfire rather than incinerates, and i've been doing anywhere from 300-400 more dps that way, i wouldnt recomend doing it an entire fight but for burn phases it gives you a nice little boost.

Demonic Pact benefits from all your spellpower effects, except Demonic Pact itself (otherwise it would feed itself to an infinite level of SP). Possibly it also does not benefit from ToW/Flametongue/Imp Divine Spirit, since those are in the same buff classification as Demonic Pact, but I am not certain.

I believe it also does not include Fel Armor's spellpower from spirit, but that may be considered a bug.

Use of Soul Fire during Backdraft is not recommended since, despite the additional damage it deals, it is still far slower than Incinerate. It tends to just mess up your time management for very little benefit, since you potentially get off 1.5 Incinerates per Soul Fire (I am ballparking the numbers, don't quote me on those). In fact, ignore what I said and just wait for a more knowledgeable individual to answer that.

Cool, thanks for the insights. I didn't think the Soulfire thing would be worth it but I just thought I might ask. I still might give it a try during a heroism cause I'm silly like that :D
