Seeing some of the titles in this thread, I remember that my childhood happened a little earlier than many of yours- lol.

Heh, indeed.

I have no idea, actually. There are dozens of movies I'd like to show my kids in the unlikely event I ever have any, but I can't think of any specific one. Lots of Disney, probably.

If Watership Down came out in 1996, I was in High School already.
I incidentally had never heard of it, but the Wikipedia synopsis made me think of Secret of Nimh, which is also an amazing kid's movie which I am now adding to my list.

Um....yeah no......Watership Down is a violent brutal, vicious movie about rabbits; I really wouldn't suggest showing it to kids till they are in their early teens lol.

It was his suggestion, not mine. Mine are all cute.

Heh I know, but I was making the comment for anyone else who hasn't seen the movie.

Secret of Nimh was had some actiony stuff, and there were definitely Disney-level villains, fighting and bad-guy dying, but nothing like what I saw in that clip Interest linked.

You looked at the wrong one. That's the television series.
The original movie came out in the 70s...

Just don't show them the sequel.

There was a sequel?
EDIT: No wonder I didn't know- it came out when I was like 16, and went straight to video- lol. The original came out when I was like 1 or 2.

I had 7 of the sequels when I was a kid, they were all great. I think there's like 13 or something now? <.<
Eventually, it will longer be the land before time. You can only go so long before you catch up to time, and then it's just "The Land."
