Most common way that every class can do would be to "trinket". There are trinket items available which allow you to regain control of your character once every two minutes.

Also if you're affliction warlock, you should use Howl of Terror right after you trinket.

Use you human racial/pvp trinket.

Edit: bah you answered 20 secs earlier, while i used that time to get some links done.

Medallion of the Horde
Medallion of the Alliance

Both can be purchased in your faction's major city with Honor Points.

I did press the 'everyman for himself' racial ability, but it didnt free me. Or maybe it did, and he re-stunned me.

He must've restunned you, Druids and Rogues can do that. Also fyi, if you're a Human, you don't need to and SHOULDN'T get the PvP trinket, as they share the same cooldown. You can only use either one every 2 minutes, so just stick with your racial, and you free up a trinket slot for something else, perhaps more damage.
