What's wrong with warlock?
Means oathbreaker. Basically, from what I remember, it's anyone that uses magic for harm or gain.

In Wicca, a witch is male and female; Warlock....well, that has a very negative connection. More or less means Oathbreaker.

Ah, so it goes back to the original context of the word.

Well what about Witch? I know there are good witches (

), but you can have bad witches, right?
Am I totally misusing the word by calling Dag'rema a witch?

Depends on the context. For Wiccans, witch just means a practitioner of the religion, iirc. For the rest of the world (Christians mostly, especially a few hundred years ago) a witch was anyone who used dark magic and consorted with the devil.

Not in Wicca; if you harm any, you aren't one anymore, you are heading for Warlock territory, whether you are male or female. Dag is a word that rhymes with witch though.

Edit: Also, after examining
the etymology
, it would appear that the word just comes from the Old English for "Wizard" or "Sorcerer," so, given the history of the word in the last 400 years or so, I don't think it would be inappropriate to call her that.

care to explain?Atheist here. Took me a long time to dig myself out of the dogma, and it hurt a lot, but here I am now, very glad that I don't believe.

You sound confident, something I lack. /envy.

You sound confident, something I lack. /envy.Well, confidence is perhaps a side-effect of living in a very religious home. I've taken my stance, I know what I do and don't believe, and it's going to take some extraordinary evidence to change my mind.
If you can, I'd recommend reading some of Dawkins literature, especially The God Delusion. That made me feel a lot more secure in my non-belief.
