I think Southshore is being taken over by the Horde, if I remember correctly. Also, Gilneas is becoming a battleground where the Forsaken lead the charge against the city. I also think you face off against them during the Worgen starting quests.
I like that they're putting the "war" back in Warcraft, and I'm curious to see what other conflicts arise after the Cataclysm.

Southshore is being destroyed by a tidal wave; but it's possible that the Alliance is finally going to reclaim Durnholde; we're suppose to be taking back Stormguarde as well after all.
As for the Worgen vs Forsaken; it makes sense. Silverpine Forest is right outside of the Gilnean zones, and a Warchief (still not clear if it's Thrall or Garrosh) sends Sylvanas and her forces after the lands because they want a port in northern Lordaeron... of course, what happened to Port Lordaeron is still unclear lol.

They are planning on building Port Lordaeron on top of Gilneas. It already exists though... how else did Sylvanas send ships west to Durotar and the Horde.....

Weren't those zeppelins? I think that the Windrunner Fleet would be a better example.
It actually wasn't clear how they reached Kalimdor... I can't see the Goblins being too eager to help the Forsaken either. But yeah, the forces heading to Northrend for Arthas's original assault on Mal'ganis... so unless the Port exploded at some point and no one thought to mention it... why don't they just it?

Where did you got that Gilneas will be destroyed? Those images are examples of what will the new pashing mechanic will be like.
Also, the goblins are taking over Azshara. So they more likely will build a city there.

More importantly, how else did Sylvanas send Forsaken ships to Gilneas? (there's a couple screenshots with Forsaken ships in there)

if you've seen the images and videos of blizzcon and poop, you know that that part of gilneas is actually destroyed by the cataclysm during the phasing. it destroys the forsaken boats and stuff, then you have to rescue the gilneans who are at sea drowning.
it's not just an example that actually happens.
Can't be completely destroyed though; otherwise, how is there a Battle For Gilneas battleground?
