I've had some very fond memories over the years, but nothing topped the opening of Ahn'Qiraj event. My guild, though horde, had close ties with the alliance raiding guilds (we were their number one love-to-hate opponents in Battlegrounds before the interserver BGs), and was cordially invited to Silithus to attend the opening of the gates. Most of the server wasn't notified in an attempt to prevent a server crash.
Man, we had a grand time! We explored the areas with spawned mobs in Tanaris, and made a sport of killing anyone who got mind controlled. Everyone got particularly excited when our Guild Leader happened to...
A particularly fond memory on that day was when the guild joker had to go afk and he autofollowed one of our warlocks. Hatching a plan, the warlock urged us to follow him as he dove into the ocean and went to the bottom. He cast unending breath on all of us as we watched the guild joker begin to drown. He came back while we were doing this, and he desperately jumped up for air. He died right below the surface, and ventrilo erupted with laughter.
We took it upon ourselves to try and kite the Collosus of Regal to Cenarion Hold, as the other two were already killed and all the participants lost interest in killing the third. We could only manage to kite it halfway before we all were killed. That took up most of our time until the actual opening began.
Of course, everyone on the server had heard about it and come to Silithus by the time 10 hours had passed and the Gates were about to open. It was really laggy, but our server held out. Of course, everyone rushed into AQ20 and AQ40 when the Gates finally opened. No one succeeded in actually killing a single boss that night. Me and a fellow guild officer were content with casually exploring with potions that let us run around exploring as ghosts.

My favorite moment in WoW was when i got my twink to 19 and geared/enchanted. My guild said lets make premade, for my glory of course. We went to BG and then they suggest lets have some fun and they got me to get alliance flag. I go to flag and get it bring it to our graveyard. Then they tell me not to return it. There we danced like 3 hours and I hold the flag for all that time. That felt awesome to have my guild dancing in circle around you and you are in middle holding the flag. How epic day...

My favorite moments:
Raid
:
Seeing Onyxia for the first time was awesome. Every other raid boss I downed in Pre-BC I had already seen videos of (Rag was actually anti-climatic for me). But Onyxia I had never seen; instead I would walk into Org frequently and see this ridiculous dragon head hanging around, always wondering if I'd be the one to put it there. Then one day my guild decided to let me, a poorly geared, fresh level 60, into an Onyxia raid. We only had 30 people when the raid started, and after ripping through the beginning trash I was able to get my first glimpse of the behemoth Onyxia, lazily relaxing in her lair before rising up to completely smashhammer our tank...or so I thought. Then I realized our tank was still alive, and I thought, "Holy crap, this raiding thing is awesome!" 5 raid members died early, and we essentially 25 manned Onyxia (quite an accomplishment for our guild), and I was lucky enough to get a ring from her. =D After that raid, we immediately did a clear of MC, sans Rag and Domo. An incredible first night of raiding, wouldn't you agree?
PvP
:
Without a doubt, winning my first AV and getting Ice-Barbed Spear. Horde won AV around 1 time in every 50+ AVs (this was before cross-server BGs). With all the frustration my sub-60 warrior went through, getting IBS was like 5 late Christmases, all showing up together on the next December 25th.
Other
:
Before they took wallwalking, and then walljumping, out of the game, a few friends and I loved to push the game to its limits, even the point of exploitation. One memorable moment was jumping up to the top of the waterfall in Org, where my two warlock friends were able to summon an army of non-combat pets using an Eye of Killrogg glitch. The three of us then slow-fell down into the bank/AH area of Org, where the pets soon caught up with us. Imagine two (naked) warlocks running around Org with literally 100 pets each in a circle around them, following them where ever they went. The cries of hacks and cheats were deafening. ;)
Walljumping itself provided some of the most memorable moments, including getting inside the Org coliseum and subsequently making everyone else on the server jealous. :D
Last, but certainly not least
: Stepping through the Dark Portal into Hellfire Peninsula, staring dumbstruck at the waging war in front of me, but then, looking upwards, and finding my heart pierced with the beauty of the Outlands sky.

The day my guild first killed Kael was rather awesome. It was in my old guild that only raided 3hrs a day, and we'd put about a day and a half of attempts in without any great progress (we were still wiping to weapons). Finally we got all our key people on, probably the best group we ever had for any boss, and we started progressing.
Kael being the sort of fight that you really can learn such that randomness will not screw you over if everyone is doing their jobs (I'm looking at you, Bloodboil), our progression was fast and large. By an hour in we had the weapons to advisers transition down, by two hours in we were onto Kael himself. After a reclear of trash and 30min of overtime later, we ran the most perfect run we'd had up to that point, finishing the whole thing in well under ten minutes (probably closer to eight), with no one dead the whole way. For not being on the cutting edge of progression, this was rather impressive for us, and still remains one of my favorite raiding moments.

My Favorite moment was In Gurubashi Arena My Friend (This was pre-BC) a 60 paly told me he would help me get a Arena Master when i was leveling my first Character. This pally had full tier 2 and sulfurous, so i figured it would be easymode. He invites me to group we jump down and i get ready to loot the chest. My friend Drops the group and kills me. I start to run back and he invites me again and says he's gonna rez me so i figure he had his fun now he'll be serious but nope he does it over and over. Then finally one time he does it i drop group and stealth away then the chest pops up he gets ganked by 4 lvl 60's as i cleanly take the chest and run out with one last Thanks!

I do realize that we only get one entry, but I can't help but share this other fond memory I had. Though the AQ opening takes the cake, I do remember my first guild run through Molten Core. It was so memorable because we prepared so well for it: on our first attempt in Molten Core, we killed every single boss except for Majordomo without a single wipe. Of course, we didn't have the materials to summon Ragnaros anyway, so we called it a night--a most victorious night. I smile as I remember that our guild joker (same one that drowned in my previous story) won a chestpiece from the boss before Majordomo, and hearthed before looting it. We continued to jeer him about it for weeks.
Yes, we made fun of him all the time, but he knows it's all in good humor and it's because we all love him to death.

I must say my most funny moment in WoW was when I was leveling my Orc Warrior (deleted a long time ago because I didn't like tanking all the time...)
This is what happened:
We where in Uldaman, regular 5 man party (Priest, Warrior, Rogue, Mage and a Hunter).
We ended up at the end boss when the Mage (who was Fire specced) pulled him with a Pyroblast.
Then he started Yelling "OMFG TEK AGRO PLOX I HAS AGRO! TEAK THE STOEPIT AGRO!"
I took agro and then the mobs around him spawned.
The mage used Blastwave and spammed arcane explosion and again yelling TEK AGRO!
He died, called us names and left the party.
We killed the boss and when we was backtracking the instance 2 BoE Epic items dropped.
I told the mage he missed on 2 BoE Epics on wich he reply'd "CAN I HAS THOOS PLOX? I WIL BEE NICE FROM NO OWN"
like a wtfmomentinwow
*edit
I'd have to say the opening of The Black Portal was pretty awesome!
I was playing alliance back then and all of the hordes (I realy mean all) where camping the portal, not 1 alliance got through, they stood there for about 3 days tough the 3th day only 1 guild stood there, but they where the best guild at the server so they had atleast full AQ40 set
It took me very long before I finally got through the portal at my hunter. Once I got to Honor Hold all I could see where skeletons and allot of red names running at me. Before I could start questing in the Ohw So Pretty Hellfire Peninsula, The Black Portal was open for 2 weeks.. It was realy a carnage, then atm it was pretty f*ck*d up but now when I look back to it I realy enjoy the toughts of those weeks
