It's been proven that hit rating gives the most dps per point investment until you reach the cap, whereon any more hit is wasted.
Show me this proof.
Simple you miss you lose out on damage that's greater than the amount of dps gained. If your way worked why even worry about hit just stack total damage, and if you get lucky and never miss you will do more damage than anyone, but every miss is a loss of so much damage including a chance to crit. This makes hit the most important stat out there to get to cap with.
Now to answer the OP's question. Get the new Gloves and enchant it with hit. That should bring you back over the hit cap, and increase your dps.

or do the smart thing and not worry becuase you have 1% extra hit to your base and will gain dps by stacking another stat,

@bonurmum, what does that have to do with the 8 percent cap. If he is a draenei he should be aware that he gets 1 percent hit added to it. It's not my job to do to tell him that. He still needs 8 percent hit, granted he gets 1 percent from being draenai, but his statement was that he would fall below the hit cap. So I answered the question according to his statement.

Check the box, if your at 7% add 1% to it from your buff and your good.

Hit Rating (to spell hit cap) .52
Armor .03
It isn't always a case of hit cap > Everything.
I myself would always go for hit cap and if possible expertise cap.
Should be noticed hit cap is more important as frost and unholy, actually the best stat (before hit cap obviously).
