While leveling my mage I got a pattern for a PvP trinket. So it appears you can get them rarely from these.

These seem to spawn every 18 minutes in War Within, *much* more frequent than in Dragonflight!

Wanted to farm em for conq cap, and make some kind of pattern.

After couple days of flying and farming I looted like 50 of em basically my whole conq cap. I found out that they circle between all zones 5-15mins apart every ~45mins. If you manage to find one cache you can easily spot next zone and timeframe where and when it will drop but you have to move quickly.

Sometimes I managed to find em perfectly other times couple zones was missed due to either flying or I had to move to next zone cus cache didnt appear on timeframe but did on next zone, SO dont wait more than 15mins if you dont see one or you wont make it full circle of zones in 45mins.

Do what you want with this information.:

Using information from both FLambda and wazaaqt, I started farming in Az and Isle of Dorn.
I would go to Dorn, collect it then head to Az, waiting about 10 minutes for the next to spawn (I was being Lazy);
Next day, on the way back from Az, I stopped and waited in Ringing Deeps I just focused on those 3 and got about 3 box's over 20 minutes:

Waited in Hallow
2217 AZ
2220 Ring
2226 Dorn
Waited in Hallow
2235 Az
2239 Ring
2243 Dorn
2245 Arrived in Hallow and left 2253
2254 Az
2257 Ring

Next I went AFK a bit and came back and decided to try the reverse

AFK in Dorn didn't see spawn left 2310
2312 Az
2315 Ring
2319 Hallow
2321 Arrived in Dorn and left 2329
2330 Az
2334 Ring
2336 Arrived in Dorn
2338 Dorn (1 minute after Hallow was due to spawn)

Now I was pretty lucky to get the same shard most of the time (maybe I got a different one when I went AFK) but from my experience, it looks like Isle of Dorn and Hallowfall have a very close timer, so might be best to avoid one where possible (Unless you really hustle).
Edit (and not delete this time): If you use your hearth and really fly hard, it's not to bad. Just make sure to be at the chest in Hallowfall and hearth as soon as the crate is opened.
Therefore I was able to get 720 conquest in an hour by going Az --> Ringing Deeps --> Hallowfall --> Hearth to Dorn --> Dorn --> Back to Az

Note: there is also an addon that does the basic timing for you Rdy's Crate Tracker. It will give you shard info, announces crate with sound and gives you a timer of 18:20
