Dragon flight as a engineer when you see Distrub earth make sure you have small expedition shovel loot. The reason why is because you'll be able loot valuable items engineer

here is few example:
shock springs coil
handful of bolts
potion of all types
dragon isies artifacts

Disturbed Earth is unlocked at Level 2 Renown with The Assembly of the Deeps. They look like brown mounds highlighted in purple and can easily be spotted from the air. Once you click on it, one of a few things will happen, you will likely be attacked by a mob (there are a wide variety that can spawn) which will drop several items, but you can also have another mound will spawn which you can loot (usually containing those same items), have a set of plagueworms spawn that you step on (squish) to earn the items, or rocks may fall start falling on you and after you dodge them all, a new pile will spawn for you to loot (and there may be others). The amount of Odd Glob of Wax received is different for each encounter. I received as little as one and as many as five.

I found several piles around the Niblegaz Mine, Gundargaz, and other mine areas in The Ringing Deeps.

The most interesting thing I have experienced with this is that a treasure sack spawned - and then several kobolds, in a staggered fashion, that arrived and started to cast a spell called something like "Loot Spoils", which was interuptable. If interrupted, the kobold gave up and ran away. If not interupted, the treasure sack decreased a little bit in size.

It is obvious that you need to interupt as many of them as possible to get as good a loot as possible from the sack, which becomes active a couple of minutes into the event. I did very poorly in my first attempt, but the sack did have some Odd Glob of Wax for me...

Does anyone know if there is possible to add a custom alert on Rarescanner for This object?
I find it a bit hard to spot them without an addon, and since you need alot of these wax for contribution, it would be nice to get alerts. I also want to add these alerts to some fishing spots aswell if possible, but that is another topic, but perhaps the same tactic. Thanks :D

I clicked on it, it spew some yellow AoEs and nothing else happened, no treasure, no enemies, nothing. Not sure if that's normal.

Use an inky black potion and fly up high, you'll find these SO MUCH EASIER

If your Disturbed Earth does not have a purple outline, ensure NEITHER of the following Options settings are disabled-

1. System Section:
Graphics Tab > Graphics Quality > Outline Mode (set to High)
2. Gameplay Section:
Interface Tab > Display Section > Outline Mode (set to anything EXCEPT Disabled)

This makes the it MUCH easier to spot (especially with an Inky Black Potion popped at the same time)!

When you interact with the Disturbed Earth it will trigger one of several different possible actions. I have seen the following:

A random mob with about 1.5 million health will spawn. Kill it and collect 1 Odd Glob of Wax and other random items
A random mob with about 3.5 million health will spawn. Kill it and collect 2 Odd Glob of Wax and other random items
A large yellow ooze with about 5 million health will spawn. Kill it and collect 3 Odd Glob of Wax and other random items
A patch of wax will appear on the ground. Click on it to collect 1 Odd Glob of Wax
A bunch of Waxy Sporbit will appear in the air above you and a gust of wind will appear where the Disturbed Earth was. Stand in the gust of air and get thrown upwards, as you float down try to bump into the objects floating in the air. The more of them you pick up the more Odd Glob of Wax you will collect. If you land on the ground and there are still more items to collect over head then head back to the gust of air and go again.
Approximately 12 maggots will appear on the ground around you. Run over them to squish them. The more you squish the more Odd Glob of Wax you will collect.
A large green ooze will appear. Jump on it and it will bounce you up in the air. As you float down aim for the green ooze so that you are thrown back into the air. The more times you bounce off of the ooze the more Odd Glob of Wax you collect. If you miss the ooze on the way down just run over and jump on him again. He will disappear after 30 seconds or so.
Where the Disturbed Earth was a small hole will appear and start shooting something up into the air about once every second or so. You will see indicators on the ground where these items will land. Run and stand in the spot marked on the ground to "catch" them. The more you catch the more Odd Glob of Wax you will receive.
The ground around you will light up indicating the landing spot of something (hot wax?) if you stand in it you will take damage. Avoid the two or three targeted areas and then collect the one Odd Glob of Wax on the ground.
A large sac will appear on the ground with the words "Defend Me" above it. A series of Kobolds will walk up to the pack and steal from it. You can kill the Kobolds. The more Kobolds you keep from stealing from the bag the more Odd Glob of Wax you will receive.
Approximately 1 dozen Enraged Chickens will attack you. Collect 4 Odd Glob of Wax
Approximately 6 Malfunctioning Defense Turrets appear one at a time facing you and then do a cone AOE attack in your direction. Avoid the damage and collect 1 Odd Glob of Wax
A NPC kobold named Wax Hoarder appears and starts throwing wax into the air. Stand in the indicator on the ground to receive 1 Odd Glob of Wax each time you successfully catch it.

Just found two of these, a few feet away from each other while using Phial of Truesight with the food buff from Ghoulish Delight.

Can anyonelse verify this increases how many they find?

These can be found in the water.
One specific node was 52.93, 59.52 in Ringing Deeps.

It was at the edge of the water, but still fully in the water. Keep those eyes open!

If you are doing the quest Snuffling, There's a bunch of disturbed earth at the Chittering Den in the Ringing Deeps (64,91. 38,74)

What is everyone's least favorite event from these?

I have yet to get anything from the bouncy blob. I don't even bother any more.

The Disturbed earth to farm knowledge is a horrible idea the drop rate is next to nothing...and it only gives 2 point..

Two of the mini-quests that are derived from this..

The random Kobold who throws loot randomly.. I mount up and fly away, it's just luck if you can get any of them unless you have something like 150% runspeed.
The other is the Bouncing Jelly, what a waste of your play time,. just fly off and find another Disturbed Earth.

All the others are fine by me.
