Thule Ravenclaw

Though accounts vary wildly, many recent events transpiring in Tirisfal Glades and Silverpine Forest seem to indicate that Thule Ravenclaw had willingly sided with the Scourge. The husk of Fenris Keep on Lordamere Lake may yield clues, but our attention must remain elsewhere at present.

Gunther Arcanus

Presumably killed during the events of the third war and lost to the Scourge.

Gunther was last in possession of my favorite pipe. Should his remains turn up, I would be most gracious for its return!

Bethor Iceshard

Killed during the events of the third war. Bethor is known to have risen as a member of the Forsaken and should be treated as an agent of the Horde in all dealings.

Thule Ravenclaw is indeed aligned with the Scourge, and he lords over Fenris Isle with his undead gnolls, the Rot Hides, stealing bodies from the Mass Graves north of Brill to bolster the armies of the Lich King.

Gunther Arcanus is a necromancer on a small island in Brightwater Lake in Tirisfal. Through a quest chain in that same zone, he is brought into the fold of the Forsaken, as he had recently been freed of the Lich King's grasp.

Bethor Iceshard, a powerful Forsaken mage, resides in the Undercity. An old friend of both Thule and Gunther, he starts the aforementioned quest chain.

Also, this group of friends once made a magic wand by combining their own three wands, as a symbol of their friendship. The players can steal this wand from Thule and give it to Bethor in the quest chain started by http://www.wowhead.com/?item=3317.

Also, this book seems to share a spawn point with "The Schools of Arcane Magic - Divination". both can be found on the floor, in front of a bookcase at the left end of the balcony inside the Violet Citadel (enter the Citadel, go up the stairs and go left, past the Caverns of Time portal, and there it is).

"Thule once told me that, long ago, he and two colleagues created a magic wand, woven together from the apprentice wands each mage possessed. This wand was a symbol of their friendship, and although Thule came to despise it he could not part with it, nor could he let the others have it. So he stole the wand, and hid it in Fenris Keep."
