If you have not rolled a Forsaken--or at least a Hordie who did the Tirisfal starter quests--you are REALLY missing out! I mean, the tongue-in-cheek humor is absolutely classic! Stop browsing and roll one now!

Now if only we find out what happened with Dumass.

Possible scenarios:

the Horde player gets a quest regarding a disturbance over at the Draenor Entrance portal and we see Dumass standing there with gear not even available in-game and he tells you

HI HI HEY HI! YOU ARE GUY FROM HORSE THAT SENDS ME TO TARREN MILL, I GOT LOST AND ENTERED THIS BIG SCARY PORTAL IN DESERT BUT GOT SPAT OUT INTO GIANT BIG CITY WITH MONSTERS AND ALIENS AND THIS BIG SCARY GUY ON A CHAIR WHO TELLS ME HE CAN'T BE KILLED. THAN THIS OTHER BIG GUY COMES IN AND DUELS THIS OTHER GUY AND DEFEATS HIM ONLY FOR THE GUY ON CHAIR TO JUMP DOWN AND MAKE EVERYONE FALL ASLEEP BEFORE HE MAKE EVERYTHING GO BLACK!

There are currently ~~seven~~ eight versions (different NPC numbers) of this character in the game. He is available in several locations and tends to phase in and out. He is a parody of an arrogant, twinked character and is the butt of some jokes (see spoiler), but he does make it to Draenor and even appears (retroactively) in Legions. Going to the different character pages will reveal many (not all) of his quotes for that context.

Horde players questing in Hillsbrad Foothills will interact with him the most. I tried to separate out spoilers about what happens there, but it wasn't possible to completely eliminate spoilers while still giving useful information. Even mousing over one of the quests will give a joke away. Alliance players won't have a chance to interact with Johnny in Hillsbrad Foothills, so go ahead and read the spoilers.

Johnny Awesome - Is featured in Welcome to the Machine, which is the first quest (other than breadcrumbs) for Horde players in Hillsbrad Foothills. In a role reversal, the Horde player acts as a quest giver at the border. The objective is to give quests to three NPCs entering the zone (Dumass, Kingslayer Orkus and Johnny) who are parodies of player characters. Naturally, each of them winds up needing help later on because things went horribly wrong while they were attempting to complete their quests. If you don't complete Welcome to the Machine, the three characters won't be phased into the zone.
Johnny Awesome - Ends A Lost Lad, then gives Do it for Twinkles. (More details in the spoilers.)
Johnny Awesome - Phases in to replace the previous version, fights alongside you a few times, ends Do it for Twinkles, and eventually goes his own way.
Johnny Awesome - Seems to be relaxing or recovering at a resort area in Feralas that players normally wouldn't pass through. He is still in mourning (see spoilers), but otherwise is as self-centered as ever. He's at level 85 and doesn't appear to be in a guild anymore by this point.
Johnny Awesome - One of several famous NPCs who may be randomly selected to replace one of the Hyjal Protectors that assist with The Protectors of Hyjal in Mount Hyjal.
<Away>Johnny Awesome - Johnny made it to the Cata endgame! He still acts self-centered and aloof, though. :) You may notice him, with his pet, Dazzle, in a 10-NPC raid group (a new guild) while doing Fire in the Skies in the Molten Front. An Alliance raid group (including <Away>Garl Grimgrizzle) may be present instead.
This version - Johnny is one of the daily dungeon quest givers in Draenor. Sometimes he visits the Inn/Tavern to give out Go Fetch. He's at level 100, but guildless again.
<Away> Johnny Awesome - We find out retroactively in Destiny Unfulfilled / Destiny Unfulfilled / Destiny Unfulfilled that Johnny was just as useful as normal while his first guild was raiding in the Black Temple. Maybe that's why he apparently got kicked out of Uber Town and later wound up in Thrall's Thrashers? He was at level 70 at the time.

The quest given to Johnny doesn't go well at all. Warden Stillwater mistakes him for a girl ("Jenny") and falls in love with him. (The warden is crazy and Johnny is a male blood elf who rides a Celestial Steed mount, called "Twinkles". Note that twink is a slang term for a young, effeminate male homosexual. This isn't the only time the developers have had some fun with male belfs.) Anyway, Johnny goes out to fight, but Twinkles is killed. Johnny is devastated (he will scream if you lead him to Twinkles's body), so he doesn't return to Warden Stillwater. After a few preliminary quests, Stillwater gives you a quest (A Lost Lad) to find him. You find Johnny sobbing to Master Apothecary Lydon, who has been taken prisoner by Stillwater. Johnny is so annoying that Lydon begs for death, but Johnny is too distraught and self-centered to notice. Not only that, Lydon (like Stillwater) appears to be convinced that Johnny is a girl. Once you free Lydon, both he and Johnny help you fight some bosses, then you all go your own way after the final boss fight with Stillwater.

It's nice to see him back indeed. Undead classic quests are still the best among all classic quests imo. Hillsbrad on the top.

On a sidenote; I"ve been recently thinking that could he be in one way similiar to Johnny Bravo? They share few common things, if only he was chasing girls & posing around.. I'd say it would be a quite good reference to Bravo. What do you think?
