In a raid group of about 30 people we downed him. He summoned adds throughout the fight that had 4 million health each, did a spin move that hit HARD, and just all around hit like a truck.

Sadly, the only thing he dropped was 4 gold and 4 Lion's Landing Commission's. Not a hard fight with a good tank and healer.

For anyone who doesn't know, he is located upstairs in the building whos entrance is at 85.87,26.73 in Krasarang Wilds.

5-manned him today without serious problems. 1 tank, 1 healer. Just tell your dps not to take damage from his whirlwind.

There is no loot in this NPC. No point to kill him unless you are doing the legendary quest line.

High Marshal Twinbraid, formerly General Twinbraid, has moved from Southern Barrens where he was involved in Alliance quest chains, to an Alliance fortress at Lion's Landing in Krasarang Wilds where he is the target for Wrathion's Horde champions in the legendary questline.

His Horde counterpart is Warlord Bloodhilt (also originally from Southern Barrens).

On the table next to him in his room, lies the book "Journal of High Marshal Twinbraid"-

One does not get many chances in life to both follow orders and achieve vengeance. I count myself lucky.

The horde have brought with them Warlord Bloodhilt. That filth was in charge of Desolation Hold during my campaign through the Southern Barrens. It was his command that led to my son's death and the murder of our people at Bael Modan.

Now the High King himself grants me the full might of Stormwind, Ironforge, and Gnomeregan to crush these vermin from this new land. It won't be bringing my boy back, but maybe I can save a pandaren from knowing the pain of outliving their child.

If you have done the quest Sentry Wards and by mistake got the Barracks mixed up with the Town Hall then rushed upstairs at the Town Hall looking for the sentry ward. This is the dude who then one shot you!

We tried it with five people. It was doable if very slow, and hard on your healers mana because the tank gets hit HARD even if he doesn't stand in stuff.

So we decided instead to get 10 people to kill with 2 heals, and it was very easy. Boss went down in a reasonable time and the tank didn't spike dangerously.

Just 5maned him. Was a long and painful fight. As a tank I died a once or twice, but my group kept it together and we did down him!

A certain hapless rogue made the error of attempting to pick the High Marshall's non-existent pockets.

He promptly turned on me, struck me down with one mighty swing of his axe, and cussed out my faction in true Dwarvish fashion, "That's right, yeh manks! Yer Horde's a heap o' sheep dung, an I jes' proved it!'

Can be 3-manned, did so with a blood DK (dps gear), shadow and disc priest (all roughly just under 500 ilvl). Very important to interrupt his Sound the Alarm, which he seems to cast every second set of Chain Gun/Whirlwind combos. Don't stand in the fire (empty spot on the table and in the centre of the room) and you can happily soak his whirlwind and chain gun as they tend to less damage than his melee hits. Took around 20 minutes.

5.3 Change: His health was reduced by 90% (130.8M is now 13.1M), and his damage done was reduced at least 50%. I soloed him as an ilvl 519 Destruction Warlock (Soul Leech + Grimoire of Sacrifice + Mortal Coil + Dark Bargain + Kiljaeden's Cunning): gateway/circle kiting, self-heals, and a Potion of the Jade Serpent.

Cast Demonic Dateway so that one gate is on each side landing, use it to dodge Cannonball Spin and Chain Gun. The non-elite adds on the landings are your friends -- use them for Demonic Embers. Place your Demonic Circle in the middle of his room so you can warp in and interrupt as need be. Died twice from missed interrupts before I got that positioning right.

As of 5.3 he has been severely nerfed. He is currently sitting at 13 million hp as opposed to his previous 130 million. Tank and heals are no longer even a necessity as a small group of dps can burn him down quickly.

Definitely solo-able as a Hunter in patch 5.3.

I specialized in Survival and used a tanking pet (my gorilla). Before fighting the High Marshal, make sure you add the glyphs "Mending" and "Animal Bond" for the extra healing, and "Camouflage".

I had my pet dismissed and use Camouflage to sneak into the fortress where the High Marshal hangs out. From there, it gets pretty easy.

Send your pet, add your Mark, and then rotation, healing your pet every-so-often. It would help if you also have the talent "Exhilaration" for the extra bonus heal if your healing gets away from you.

The High Marshal has a few abilities he casts, but none is more important than the "Call for Help". This needs to be silenced or stunned in the middle of his cast. heal your pet through his cannonball cast, and just dodge his "Chain Gun".

And that is pretty much it- maintain your pet's heals and watch out for the reinforcement calls and you got this beat.
It would also help to clear out the couple of mobs along the wing at the top of the stairs you climb to get to him, just as a precautionary measure. But watch out! As soon as you enter his room, you draw aggro.

As of Patch 5.3.0 this boss, and his Horde counterpart, were severely nerfed. Health-wise, they only have 13,081,410, down from 130,814,104 (that is a 90% nerf), plus do significantly less damage. Nearly soloable at this point, by Plate classes, maybe others (not tested yet really), and 2-3 people will just demolish him in under a minute.

Let your Voidlord tank him, and keep healing your pet if needed (I used the Glyphed Health Funnel to be able to keep DPS'ing).

He casts Cannonball Spin first, then Chaingun (damages in front of him) / Explosives Plunger (which leaves a burning area on the ground, just recall your pet + make your pet attack him in order to move your pet). Lastly he will cast Sound the Alarm - this has to be interupted! Spam your Carrion Swarm Macro twice to interupt him.

He will start over casting these spells, but will not cast Sound the Alarm as often as the other spells.

Patch 5.4, soloed the Marshal as a iLvl 495 MM Hunter.

Sound the Alarm is still interruptable, at least by Silencing Shot. The summoned bodyguards are all Elites and hit hard, though. On my first attempt I was a moment too late in hitting Silencing Shot and it...didn't end well.

I agree with Weirhauser's advice below, make sure your tanking pet has Glyph of Mending and Glyph of Animal Bond. Maybe at higher iLvls or different specs you can do without, but I found without those glyphs Mend Pet couldn't keep up with the Marshal's damage.

And yes, move yourself and your pet out of the fire...

Easily 2-manned him with a ilvl 535 Rogue and a ilvl 515 Hunter. It is surely soloable, but I brought a friend with me to burn it down faster.

Probably solo-able by any tank class, with the right talents (to ensure self-healing).

I soloed this first as a 495 Guardian Druid (in Feral gear), then as a 505 Prot Pally. As a tank, it took a while, but relatively straight forward once you learn the fight. I failed about 10 times as a feral cat, then switched to bear and did it after about 4 tries, then took two tries with the pally.

Interrupt the alarm call, hop out of the way of the Chaingun, and go for a run during Cannonball, while trying to avoid whatever dynamite sticks he's detonated. He always detonates after he cannonballs, and tends to (not always) detonate sticks close to where he is at the time, so try to plan where he'll detonate and make permanent areas of fire.

Really easy as ilvl 524 retri paladin. With sacred shield and word of glory every now and then his damage was really not of the concern. The fight took aprox. 3 minutes during which he casted Sound the Alarm only twice, if I remember right.

Soloed this as a destruction warlock, thought I would pitch in seeing how most successful warlock solos seem to be from demonology warlocks with carrion swarm for interrupt.

For this I took mortal coil, soul leech, soul link, and GoSup. KJC could be considered useful here, but you might as well tank him face to face anyway.

Summon observer, engage boss, watch for "Sound the Alarm" (he actually yells out "help me!") and interrupt it.

The boss hits about 50k and crits for 100k, but this damage is severely reduced by soul link. The unending resolve glyph is also super useful (passive 10% dmg reduc). I just ran circles around him with KJC to stay out of all of the AOE and popped ember tab for healing. Healthstone with glyph could also be useful, but not necessary at my ilvl (526). I used more embers on chaos bolt than ember tab, so he should be doable at a significantly lower ilvl using this method.

Just to confirm, easily soloable as a hunter.

ilvl 536

13 mill hp burns down pretty quick, MUST interrupt call for help or you will be dead in seconds.
Had to interrupt twice only, keep heals on pet and rotate as usual.

Glyph of mending also helps.

Sneak in there using camouflage and it is done in 5 mins.

This guy killed my ele shammy a few times in LFR and Flex Siege of Orgrimmar gear.

Even with my Fire Elemental, I ended up tanking. Though I did get him to 64%, I couldn't keep up with my own heals. The cast to call for the cavalry time is not short. It is very easy to interrupt. If you do not, he calls at least 6 dwarven guards to pummel you (and they are also quite hard).

People are happy to help with this one. So it should be easy to form a group.

The best thing about fighting this boss are the absolutely insane, down and dirty things he remarks about the Horde! So don't forget to read it.

Just soloed this as a Survival Hunter at IL534 using a crab tank. Just move your pet out of the fire and from the cannonball spin and spam heal pet. Used Countershot to interrupt his call for help. Tried it as a BM Hunter but there is no shot that would interrupt his call.

As a mage I struggled to solo him as he hits like a truck (the mage-standard for truck, anyway... :P) But it's fine with the help of your friends (or friend) so they can take over being the punching bag when you need a bit of a break. I think he may have been nerfed quite a bit, so I doubt a, say, hunter would struggle taking him down :) Hope this helps :)

Laughably easy to solo as a prot tank especially with the current their set bonus. Just takes a bit of time.

TIP: drag some of the REGULAR lvl 90 adds in to keep around and kill when you feel like you need a quick heal (victory rush FTW).

TIP: interrupt "Sound the Alarm"

TIP: run away during channeled "Cannonball"

TIP: don't stand in fire.

Solo'd as Holy Paladin, LFR geared. My ret set sucks, so I tried as Holy and it wasn't bad. Just takes forever. Stood in center of room, rotate Judgement, Holy Shock, Holy Prism, Denounce, (and HoW when his health got low). I used Seal of Truth (I checked Skada after and Censure was my second highest damage dealer for the fight).

Just stand still for cannonball. First one can be soaked with Divine Shield; heal yourself through the others. I used WoG and instant DLs (SH spec), and Holy Prism. When he does that frontal cone just step through him and then step back when it's finished. Interrupt Sound Alarm with Rebuke.

The reason I didn't run out of cannonballs is that the fight takes a while and there was just too much fire around the room for me to navigate as the fight went on. Also, he had a habit of casting Sound Alarm right after, and I missed the interrupt a few times before I got it down. Don't forget you use your cool downs. I just rotated them, using Avenging Wrath on pull. Took me three deaths before I tried the standing still approach, and then I downed him in one shot. GL!

He gives 400 black prince rep and is on a 10 min respawn timer making him quite a good source of rep if you're farming in the area and can handle him. I killed him about twelve times in my road to revered.

Seeing the noticeable boost in rep each time helped with my morale to keep me going.

Two manned as enhancement shaman and subtlety rogue. The shaman just used all their cooldowns and kept agro while the rogue kept backstabbing and using finishing moves.

Solo'd as Destro Warlock using most notably Grim of Supremacy with Observer interrupt (ilvl 540). Could easily do with much lower ilvl, or even pvp gear. The real issue on this fight is the interrupt. It is unclear what his cooldown is, but the observer's cooldown on interrupt is sufficient (with at least 5-10 seconds to spare).

I dropped my portal out in the hall above the stairs, and just used it to avoid his spin. Started fight with offensive cooldowns and potions. Only had to interrupt 2 or 3 times. Used Unending Resolve once, and one healthstone.

Don't bother trying with voidwalker, you need the interrupt. I died a couple times trying to muscle the adds without interrupt. Its just not gonna happen that way. Besides, he's a wussy, and you can tank him easily if you avoid the spin.

I solo'ed this guy as a 537 MM Hunter with ferocity pet. I had an overall dps of 145k. I used agility flask and 300 agility food and when he was at about 30% left I used an agility potion also. He tried to Sound the alarm only once but I interrupted him and that was all, he never used it again. I didn't use any kind of tactics like "call pet back, out of the fire" or anything else like that and my pet died only once because I didn't pay attention to its HP bar but I ressed him quick with Heart of the Phoenix. I tried to keep Misdirection on pet as much as I could (the glyph helps alot). It was just a simple tank and spank for me.

I felt like I had to specify different things in my comment because I've seen other people saying their pets died so many times or even they died (yes after he was nerfed).

Was ridiculously easy as an ilvl500 BM hunter with spirit beast in tank spec. I was even bad at keeping mend pet up 100%, probably had it up about 50% of the time, and only once did the pet have to use its heal on itself during a hard hitting attack. Was able to interrupt every sound the alarm with counter shot with plenty of time for the cooldown to be up and waiting for the next one.

Okay, I'm about to ask a question that some might find laughable.

I've tried killing this guy, and based on comments, I should be easily able to do that. However, every interrupt I try says "immune." WTF interrupts are the classes using? Yes, I'm horribly frustrated.
