Heals itself + absorbing shield every ~15-20 sec.

Just interrupt, when it starts absorbing. Even though there's no cast bar, it will still stop the healing.

Stun works too.

Path 5.05 Hotfixes, October 8th:

The Beast of Jade in the Jade Forest will no longer cast Jade Statue.

With this hotfix the Beasts will no longer attempt to heal themselves.

Good Grief!
Just ran thru this in a group of 3 hunters and Silencing Shot doesn't appear to work :/ though I did have luck with Scare Beast. But you need to be on your A game casting it as soon as the Jade Beast starts casting it's healing or it will be at full health before your cast takes effect. Hope this helps, as this thing was a beast to take down. (yes pun very much intended) Also none of us had intimidate so I'm not sure it that would be more or less effective.

Can be tamed easily at lvl120 - with Resurrection Sickness - and you can get this quickly nearby - just jump off the palace, outside where you queue for the scenario. SPLAT! Just make sure to talk to the angel lady and take the penalty - don't fly back to your body like you normally would ;)

I cleared Phase 1 of the scenario easily even with Resurrection Sickness - but still equipped a weapon and my gear.

For the actual tame, I removed my weapon. I was able to punch the mob once (possibly twice, I punch fast) and it aggro'd to about 400% (had about 80% health post-punching), and I was able to tame without dying. I then tested it again - this time wearing no gear or weapon - same deal, just took a couple more smacks until the mob was at around 125% aggro.

Like other tames now, it does keep its name post-taming.

I tried to tame Beast of Jade but it kept interrupting my tame beast spell! Does anyone have any tips about this?

Oh wait nevermind i figured it out! Well for those who wish to tame it without being interrupted use scare beast on that beast and then cast tame beast and repeat this method till you finally succeed!

strip and use the toy Whole Body Shrinka from zanladari quarter master in Echo Isles. That's the one just us outside the horde starting area. Beat him down till you get aggro. Have to be horde to get it. You can use it on your alliance toon once you learn it.
