Overview – Rak'tul batters players with [Spiritbreaker] and [Crush Souls], forming totems that [Soulbind] his foes.
As the fight progresses, Rak'tul unleashes a [Soulrending Roar], casting players' souls into the Restless Masses and afflicting them with [Withering Soul] until they return to the realm of the living.
- Damage Dealers –
  Totems spawn at each [Crush Souls] target's location and cast [Soulbind] at a player.
  [Soulrending Roar] applies [Withering Soul] until players return to the realm of the living.
  Interrupting [Eternal Suffering] grants [Spectral Residue].
- Healers –
  Totems spawn at each [Crush Souls] target's location and cast [Soulbind] at a player.
  [Soulrending Roar] applies [Withering Soul] until players return to the realm of the living.
  [Deathgorged Vessel] inflicts heavy damage to all players.
- Tank –
  Totems spawn at each [Crush Souls] target's location and cast [Soulbind] at a player.
  [Soulrending Roar] applies [Withering Soul] until players return to the realm of the living.
  [Spiritbreaker] inflicts heavy damage to Rak'tul's primary target, launching them into the air.
Crush Souls – Rak'tul repeatedly leaps and slams down, inflicting 20 Shadow damage to players within 5 yards. Each impact plants a Soulbind Totem.
- Soulbind Totem
  - Soulbind – The totem ensnares a player, inflicting 10169 Shadow damage every 1 sec and pulling them toward the totem.
  - Chill of Death – The totem inflicts 50845 Shadow damage every 0.5 sec to players within 0 yards.
Spiritbreaker – Rak'tul pummels his target twice, inflicting 35 Physical damage with each strike. He then delivers a final empowered blow, inflicting 139824 Shadow damage and launching the target high into the air.
The final blow leaves behind a patch of Spectral Decay.
- Spectral Decay – The pooling essence inflicts 30507 Shadow damage every 1 sec to players within and increases their damage taken by 30%.
Deathgorged Vessel – Rak'tul's engorged form releases soul energy every 6 sec, inflicting 54913 Shadow damage to all players and ejecting Volatile Essences.
- Volatile Essence – Released soul energy bursts upon impact, inflicting 101690 Shadow damage to players within 2 yards.
Soulrending Roar – Rak'tul roars with tremendous force, awakening the Restless Masses and applying Withering Soul to all players. This affliction tears players' souls asunder, flinging them across the Echoing Span and severing them from the realm of the living.
Soul Expulsion leaves Rak'tul momentarily in a trance.

  - Lost Soul
    Cries of the Fallen – The soul cries out upon contacting a player, inflicting 25423 Shadow damage and rooting them for 3 sec.
  - Malignant Soul
    Eternal Suffering – The soul radiates shadow magic, reducing the movement speed of players within 0 yards by 60%. Upon interruption, the soul dissipates, empowering all players with Spectral Residue.
    Spectral Residue – Released essence empowers players, increasing their movement speed by 25% and increasing their damage, healing, and absorption effects by 25% for 25 sec. This effect stacks.
- Withering Soul – While in an incorporeal form, the target suffers 2542 Shadow damage every 1 sec. This effect stacks every 4 sec.
  Returning to the realm of the living removes this effect.
- Soul Expulsion – Soulrending Roar sends Rak'tul into a stupor, stunning him for 45 sec. Souls periodically erupt from his form, inflicting 28 Shadow damage to players within 4 yards of each impact.
- Shattered Totem – Rak'tul's roar shatters each remaining Soulbind Totem, inflicting 127113 Shadow damage to all players for each totem shattered.
