As a DH raider, hitbox on this boss seems ... wrong?

The Hunt / Felblade both drop me too far away to hit with Chaos Strike.

And the damage from standing close enough during P2 is pretty intense without very good placement.

Section 1 – Loom'ithar traps enemies within its chamber with [Lair Weaving] and unleashes infused arcane energy with [Overinfusion Burst].
Upon reaching 50% health, Loom'ithar tears itself in two and attacks players directly with [Writhing Wave].
- Tank –
  [Piercing Strand] causes all targets hit to take increased damage from it for a duration.
  [Writhing Wave] is split between all targets caught in its area.
  Loom'ithar will give chase to their target while consumed with [Unbound Rage]
- Damage Dealers –
  Infused Tangles inflict heavy damage if players are caught in the collapsing ring of threads.
  [Infusion Tether] will inflict damge indefinitely until the effect ends.
  [Living Silk] inflicts heavy Nature damage and reduces movement speed.
- Healers –
  [Infusion Tether] must be pulled far away from Loom'ithar to end the effect.
  [Overinfusion Burst] inflicts Arcane damage as it charges and a massive burst when it ends.
  [Living Silk] inflicts heavy Nature damage and reduces movement speed.

Stage One: The Arcane Loom

Lair Weaving – Loom'ithar weaves a collapsing ring of Infused Tangles that inflict 144 Nature damage to players in their path and root them for 8 sec.
Destroying an Infused Tangle removes its connecting threads.
On Heroic and Mythic difficulties, Infused Tangles are protected by a Woven Ward.
- Woven Ward – Each Infused Tangle is protected by a barrier of silk that prevents all damage. This barrier is broken when struck by Piercing Strand.
Infusion Pylons – The chamber's arcane pylons pump energy into Loom'ithar through arcane beams, triggering an Excess Nova on contact.
Players standing within the beam block its path, suffering 4 Arcane damage and gaining an application of Hyper Infusion every 1 sec. This effect stacks.
- Excess Nova – The Infusion Pylons' beams trigger a burst of arcane energy from within Loom'ithar, inflicting 11303 Arcane damage to all players.
- Hyper Infusion – Exposure to Infusion Pylons causes the target to take 100% increased damage from Infusion Pylons for 45 sec. This effect stacks.
Infusion Tether – Loom'ithar pulls several players to its location, binding them with silken strands that inflict 2434 Arcane damage each second, growing in intensity over time.

Each strand snaps when drawn to 40 yards, creating a splotch of Living Silk at the player's location.
On Heroic and Mythic difficulties, if the target is standing in Living Silk, Infusion Tether applies Silken Snare when it ends .
- Living Silk – Tendrils of arcane silk inflict 34777 Nature damage every second and reduce movement speed by 25%.
- Silken Snare – Arcane silk encases the target, stunning them for 10 sec.
Overinfusion Burst – Loom'ithar inflicts 1435 Arcane damage to all players every 0.5 sec for 8 sec as it absorbs arcane energy. Then, it releases the energy in a massive explosion inflicting 920 Arcane damage to players within 45 yards.
Primal Spellstorm – Arcane energy rains down from the chamber above, inflicting 115 Arcane damage within 6 yards of the impact locations.
Arcane Overflow – Loom'ithar's excess energy radiates outward, inflicting 4586 Arcane damage to all players every 1 sec.
Piercing Strand – Loom'ithar launches a heavily infused strand through their current target at high speed, inflicting 173886 Arcane damage to all players in a line and increasing damage taken from Piercing Strand by 1000% for 10 sec.
Silk Blast – Loom'ithar primary attack launches silk that inflicts Physical damage to its current target.

Stage Two: The Beast Unbound

Unbound Rage – Upon reaching 50% health, Loom'ithar rips itself free of its bindings, incurring a great wound that increases its damage taken by 33%. As it crashes down, Loom'ithar inflicts 35 Physical damage to all players and knocking them away.
Arcane Ichor pours endlessly from its severed half above.
- Arcane Ichor – Ichor pours from Loom'ithar's wounds and inflicts 34777 Arcane damage every 1 sec to players within its area.
Arcane Overflow – Loom'ithar's excess energy radiates outward, inflicting 4586 Arcane damage to all players every 1 sec.
Primal Spellstorm – Arcane energy rains down from the chamber above, inflicting 115 Arcane damage within 6 yards of the impact locations.
Arcane Outrage – Loom'ithar unleashes Arcane Ichor and pure arcane energy with an enraged shriek, repelling and inflicting 10 Arcane damage to all players each second for the next 4 sec.
On Mythic difficulty, when Arcane Outrage ends, players erupt with arcane energy inflicting 35 Arcane damage to themselves and allies within 4 yards.
- Arcane Ichor – Ichor pours from Loom'ithar's wounds and inflicts 34777 Arcane damage every 1 sec to players within its area.
Writhing Wave –
Loom'ithar unleashes a surge of silk towards its current target, inflicting 521658 Nature damage and an additional 98 Nature damage every 1 sec for 25 sec. The damage is split evenly among players in a frontal cone.
On Heroic and Mythic difficulties, affected players take 350% increased damage from Writhing Wave.
- Writhing Swathe – If Writhing Wave fails to hit at least 5 targets, Loom'ithar shields himself with the extra silk, absorbing damage taken.
