At Tier 8 with my BM Hunter, 593 iLevel I don't have enough base DPS to kill Xik'Vik. I've noticed a pattern, as the Tier levels open up with my increased iLvl, the health/damage of the mobs increases more than my DPS increased with the recent gear improvements. Sadly, I see lowbie gear in the Delve rewards, which is below even my average iLvl, even when a coffer key gives better reward. I think I'm going back to PUGs and Raiding to get my gear. Higher level Delves are a waste of time.

Interrupt encasing webs. The whole delve is an exercise in interrupting.

For those of us who play specs which don't have an interrupt, Encasing Webs can be line-of-sighted by the walls at the room entrance if you keep your dps low enough that Brann can hold aggro (or your voidwalker if warlock). Tedious but it worked for me, while I simply couldn't outheal it on tier 8 even at 610 ilvl.

T6, ilvl 567 Aff warlock with only a fel puppy to inturrupt. Managed to DOT-kite him around with my double-jump heal. Rough fight, definitely will need a friend with an inturrupt next time (or get around to re-learning demo)

Fair warning if you're a Hunter or a Warlock, all of his AoE abilities will kill your pets, you need to micromanage their positioning.

Boomy 658 and I almost get killed every Encasing Webs, even if I am healing myself, because no CC works. LOS and door entrance did not work.

Keep Brann as a tank, changed in to bear in order to have working the only CC you need : Skull Bash
You have to tank once in while when Brann dies.
Take you time and CC Encasing Webs and no trouble (worked on first try) even with low damages at my lvl but I cannot tell how easy at lower level.

I just post this as an advice to others boomies.

There's only one way to say this, it sucks. It's a lesson in CC and if you have a class light on CC abilities then you aren't going to enjoy this encounter. I run a Spriest and we have one CC, Silence. And it's on a 45 second CD. I had to use a Rock-in-a-Bottle in order to finish this. Down to my last life before I made it work. You absolutely must interrupt "Encasing webs" or it will be your doom.

And I don't know about everyone else, but Brann sucks as a healer for me. He's worse at healing than I am.

I wasted 30 minutes of my life doing this delve (T11) on my discipline priest because I didn't know that the last boss would be impossible. I tried to solve this boss but there is no solution. It's an oversight by blizzard. If you are a priest and is reading this comment, please just leave the delve because there is no way you can complete it unless you have gear insane enough to outheal every encasing webs ability. No priest cc works on the boss.

My issue was that I relied too much on the new audio assist feature for interrupts. It was working fine for all other targets and I was used to it. But it's bugged (currently) on this boss specifically so I didn't even bother to check if it's interruptible.
