Start their challenge, then go complete the others and come back to this one. Kill the mirror images (one by one) until it completes. I was able to complete this stage on the third image.

If you need to complete a fungal folly, just go do another delve at level 2 and then do this one at 3. The level 3 one should be different.

Just completed this on Tier 1. When you've spoken to Kasthrik, don't attack any mirror images. Watch which one copies Kasthrik's three actions, then kill that one.

Just completed this on lvl 3. At first I thought it was bugged, but then I watched him summon the mirror images and watched them perform spell animations a few times and I still thought it was bugged. Then I realized you don't need to watch him, you just need to wait until he's done and find the one in the outer circle that just has the name Kasthrik above his head instead of Kasthrik <mirror image>.

seems to count any cleave damage as "killing" an image. killed the same target just now on my shaman with the first time failing (the same time i cleaved another mirror image with my frost shock by accident) and worked the second by only using single target. interesting mechanic that makes you use your brain but...... very frustrating cause of this. to specify, the cleave didn't kill the target. it barely did damage and i only hit it cause of rotation muscle memory. yet the guy still counted it as a failed attempt regardless

can anyone else confirm if cleave ruins this or am i just cursed?

I can't even get past this challenge of his. Whoever thought up of this, should've scrapped it if they never thought how bull#$%^ hard it would be. If there's no foolproof strategy for this challenge, then I will not touch Fungal Folly until this challenge is nerfed. Substantially.

Idk what to say about this one man. As a monk I thought I had the golden ticket. "Oh ill just watch what he does and touch of death the one doing what he's doing at the exact same time he's doing it"
Works sometimes, sometimes- sorry friend incorrect. My only recourse is to pay attention to what he does last and try to kill the one that did that last thing he did but im not entirely sure that will work 100% of the time either.
I swear I've also killed what I perceive as the WRONG one and it completes. I literally don't even.

Soloed this today on a bountiful T8 with a 633 BM Hunter. Died on first attempt as I thought it was a strict DPS NPC. Came here read the posts and figured I just wasted my bountiful. Tried again and watched NPC. Looked like 3 of the toons mirrored him. Selected the 1st one and watched it continue to mirror as I DPSed it. It went down and completed.

Not sure if still bugged or if I got lucky.

Not sure if it's specific to higher tiers or not, but 11.1 "upgraded" his challenge so that now defeating the wrong clone just straight up instakills you with no damage dealt according to the combat log (Which presumably means you can't prevent it from killing you).

Found this out the hard way when Brann's mecha devilsaur mob did their AoE stomp and killed one of the wrong clones along with the correct one.

Some good tips here before me.

What I've found is, if you can kill them all in one go, it solves it. So, a decent AoE works. I've made this work with a BM Hunter, and also a Retridin.

Pretty easy stuff. I just sit on top of Kasthrik, pan out and look down to see all 5 of the images like a clock. Just watch what Kas does, and see which one of his images copy. Focus only on those that did, he'll do another spell, focus on those that copied, repeat that a third time, kill that 3 time copier.

EDIT: Just did it a couple times with alts, if you manage to miss the sequence, just hold out, don't attack anything, and he'll do a new one. Not sure if he'll do a third but..

This is what I did worked for me after a few attempts.
Do not use any AOEs, you MAY hit the wrong mobs with them. Use a defencive CD just before the npc mirror image does to avoid fatal damage.
Kasthrik will cast abilities. Watch each of the mirror images to identify one that uses the identicle moves. Select one and watch it closely. Hopefully it continues to do the same moves into the second rotation and beyond.
Burst he one you're looking at, presumably you need to finish killing it before they stop doing thier rotations.

Keep trying, it took me a few times, the one I did no AOEs (Im a blood DK) was the attempt that was successful. Keep trying you'll get it if you know the mechanics.
