On higher layers these can be overwhelmingly annoying and bursty. Sometimes you get a pack of 3 of them and their damage output is absolutely bonkers even if they are pretty squishy. Unless you kill them super fast they will easily wipe you (assuming you're playing solo runs).

Kind of amazing that as much as Blizz has redone Torghast that they thought adding these guys was a good idea.

They're terrible, they're literally like mini bosses. If you pull a group with one of these in them you're screwed, target and kill these first.

They seem particularly bad for range. Their attacks are channeled and go through walls, etc. There is no way to line of sight them or outrun them, just really really stupid.

Whoever designed these needs to be fired. They are over-tuned as hell and are more dangerous than Floor bosses and some end bosses.
Even worse for classes with few/no interrupts.

I have literally straight up just left Torgast runs because I get an empowered one as the floor boss on level1 and don't have enough abilities to kill it before it just nukes me in 3s

Dominated Attendant is an enemy that can ruin your runs pretty hard, so it is good to know how to deal with them beforehand.

It is a RANGED CASTER with the following abilities (all of which are interruptable):

Reformation Bolt Spammable single-target bolt that deals moderate damage.
Unstable Core Places a bomb below you that deals moderate AoE damage after a brief delay. Just move out of it.
Aggression Sentry Summons an orb that will repeatedly attack you for ludicrous damage and end your flawless run.

In short... you need to be aware of Aggression Sentry at all times, because it's broken and that's what makes this enemy so deadly.

So how do we deal with it? (provided you don't kill it first, obviously)

Save your interrupts or CCs for it. They always cast Aggression Sentry after ~5 seconds in combat (roughly, after the third Reformation Bolt , so you know when to be ready)
The Sentry cannot be destroyed but it is a Magic BUFF that can be removed with any offensive dispel, like Purge, Consume Magic, Dispel Magic, etc.
If both of those fail, pop defensives and break line of sight if at all possible, for as long as you can. Every single millisecond counts - the buff lasts 12 seconds and during that time it can well deal OVER 250000 DAMAGE.
Note that you cannot LoS to cancel the initial cast, as it casts the Buff on itself anyway. You can also try to outrange its 40yd range if there's no cover. Stunning or Silencing will NOT work, since its an aura.

My guess is that Sentry damage is off by around an order of magnitude. In its current state, it is extremely punishing and makes it really hard to deal with when there are 2-3 Dominated Attendant active at the same time. So for the time being, exercise caution, and kill them with extreme prejudice.
