Part of the Kyrian Assault event in The Maw. Hits remarkably hard for what should be a relatively easy event quest. Has a stacking buff that boosts his damage output, spits out frequent AoE puddles to dodge, and occasionally spawns trios of adds that heal him.

Was able to solo with my ~210 Destro lock, but he killed my voidwalker 3 times in the process.

Okay, what the actual hell? This is absolutely not soloable as a balance druid. Even with a trueheart spear weakening it, the hits are hard and the adds spawn far too often. Interrupts apparently instantly eliminate them, but the druid interrupt is so bad that's not really a viable option.

So it should either be nerfed or marked as group quest.

If this dude isn't spawning for you, make sure you dismount the golem for the other quest first.

USE THE Trueheart Spear that you get from the locations at Trueheart Spear. They stack to 10, have a fast cast time and no cool down. Makes a world of difference.

I'm making this a top-level comment for visibility, though the idea didn't start with me -- I got it from the subcomments on meganerd18's post after I came here because my 228 frost mage didn't manage to solo it.

For the healing adds, they only need to be kicked to stop the heal and they'll despawn once kicked. No need to kill them. Also don't kite too far from him, his reset area is pretty small and only slightly larger than the area he bombards with his AoE.

My tip for this quest: don't use your Trueheart Spears on Infernus, use them on the adds. If you throw them all at Infernus its health runs down quickly but the adds all spawn at once (they pop every 30% or so, so you can quickly end up with three sets of three adds). They top his health back up too quickly to manage. Instead, steady DPS on Infernus, when the adds pop, target them and throw a spear. They are quick to cast and will one-hit the adds, stopping the healing. Back to DPS on Infernus until done. I did use one spear on Infernus to weaken the attacks (anything that hits that hard hurts a solo Shadow Priest), but that was it. Happy hunting!

This NPC is definitely a reference to the player Infernus who has an INFINITE amount of max level characters (400, which is 8 capped accounts).
