Nine Afterlives achievement

There are nine slime cats scattered around Maldraxxus. When you find them, you need to pet the cat by clicking on it (channeled 3.5 second spell), after petting one you get a 5 minute debuff called Gross (You’ve been slimed!) which gives you a green tint but doesn’t otherwise effect your character. Repeated petting of cats will give you additional stacks but not increase the duration of the buff.

The cats are scattered all over Maldraxxus and some wall walking/jumping is required to reach them. The easiest way to find them is to run a mod like Silver Dragon or NPCScan (you may need to add the NPC IDs to either mod, hopefully they will be updated before 9.0 goes live).

While it’s likely this will be the source of the slime cat pet, the achievement doesn’t as yet reward it on beta. Still, petting slime cats is its own reward. :)

It will target the slime cat and play a sound if it is found in range. I key bind this and hit it frequently while running around to find them.

Hairball

currently no coordinates available - Hairball is in the Plaguefall instance, at the bottom level just before the last boss (The Festering Sanctum). After you drop down into the pool, there’s a small alcove to the right facing the boss room. You can target Hairball using the macro above. You cannot access this location in the non-instanced version as it is behind a locked door (can’t be unlocked in open wold).

He’s up on a mushroom/leaf thing. This is a jumping challenge. I found the easiest way to get there was to go around the other side of the mushroom, there’s a gap between the stalk and the wall. From there you run onto the first leaf, jump onto the second, then you need to wall jump onto a vein on the side of the stem, and from there onto the final leaf. You need to hit a very narrow location on the wall jump, taller races may have issues as you tend to hit the vein above and bounce off.

Objective of this achievement is to find and click on 9 kittens.
8 in Maldraxxus and 1 is inside the Plaguefall dungeon near the final boss
You get debuff when you click on a kitten Gross You’ve been slimed!
It has 5 minutes duration, but it doesn't really mater for this achievement, can ignore it

To get Nine Afterlives you need find and pet all of the kittens in Maldraxxus.
On the Dungeon Plaguefall have a kitten so, I recommend you queue the Dungeon while find another kittens.

How to find the all 9 kittens:

Hairball is located on the Dungeon Plaguefall, I do it on Normal Mode.
You find this kitten after defeat the third boss and drop down into the pool to the last boss room.
Use /tar Hairball to find more easy.

Pus-In-Boots is located on Iron Trench under the bridge.

Pus-In-Boots is a friendly NPC that can be found in the Iron Trench in Maldraxxus.
Look for a small camp underneath the bridge that connects the Seat of the Primus and the Theatre of Pain.

Pus-in-Boots will be sitting next to a Rampaging Gladiator, and a Skeletal Steed.

Nearby is a corpse called Some Body, and there are several onions planted around the camp.

This one can be easy to ogrelook, so be sure you're on the correct layer.

Once you've interacted with the cat, be sure to get out of the swamp and look for the other 8 slime kittens.

Completing the Nine Afterlives reward you with the Shrektacular new toy, Jiggles's Favorite Toy.

Just to clarify, that is not "puss", as in 'cat'. It is in fact "pus", the oily stuff associated with wounds and infections, hence why it suddenly "slimes" you.

The location of Pus in Boots is also a Shrek easter egg. Surrounding him you will find:

NPC resembling an ogre - a reference to Shrek himself
Onions - because Shrek says ogres are like onions because they "have layers"
Dragon skull, because the character Donkey married a dragon
The corpse of Some Body, a reference to the Smash Mouth song "All Star" on the Shrek soundtrack (someBODY once told me...)
Pus in Boots himself, a reference to the character Puss in Boots.

Bonus: in case you missed it, Pus in Boots is indeed wearing tiny little boots.
