You'll get the opportunity to create this pet once you get Tier 2 of The Ember Court in your Sanctum Upgrades. Once you learn the upgrade, you'll need to talk with Temel aboveground, (if you've gone through the steps of A New Court -- Tier 1 upgrade of The Ember Court), to receive the quest Homegrown Help.

This quest chain will take you through the steps to create your Dredger Butler, during which you'll pick your Dredger's color and name. I named mine Muckworth Muddington III. As of right now, the only part of the chain you'll need mats for is Making a Smarter Dredger. For this part of the chain, I needed Widowbloom x 10 to trade with the Broker vendor in the Night Market for the item Kaja'Extreme.

Your dredger butler boasts a variety of handsome clothing and hair options. Clothing items and hairstyle reference images drop from treasures and enemies in Revendreth. These items unlock a quest from your dredger; upon completion the appearance will be unlocked. You can talk to your dredger to ask him to change his appearance. You can have him change his shirt or hair as many times as you would like without collecting the item again. Dyes, on the other hand, are consumed upon use.

I'm a little confused about how this works. I unlocked my level two Ember Court today and did the chain, right up until you collect a bit of blue dye, then more quests were offered. Then I did my Ember Court for the week. During the opening first minute, I tried to summon the guy from the pet journal, but I was informed he was already present during the court. I could not find him, nor was there anything on the minimap to indicate where he was. Then the Ember Court started and we all know how it is, so busy that you run around like a headless chicken. Once it was the after party (still in the scenario) realized that I had forgotten all about him. Spent about 5 minutes looking around to find him, but nothing, and the pet journal still gave me the same message.

I am confused and don't believe this aspect of the Ember Court has been introduced in an intuitive way.

Has anyone had better luck with this?

The Ember Court is the worst designed thing they ere did in the game. It's even worst than playing wow vanilla without Quest Helper and with the help of Goblin Workshop only. Yeah it's that bad. It's terrible. Not only that but Venthyr DPS is rock button for like half the specs out there. Clearly the guy in charge of Venthyr is the type to cash in his pay check and not bother doing the actual job he is paid for.

I completed the rank 1 of the Ember Court. Nothing. I've read online there's supposed to be a scenario but i got nothing. I've read you are supposed to be able to host a level 1 Ember Court party but nothing on my side i can't do anything. Now i upgraded it to rank 2. Completed the quests and i'm stuck at the quest "Introductions are in Order".

I'm supposed to summon my Dredger from my pet journal. Like yeah really which ***** pet journal. The only thing in my pet journal is my own pet abilities. My dredger is nowhere to be found. Since Venthyr dps **** for half the specs nobody is playing Venthyr and there's no information anywhere.

I'm dropping this Venthyr **** as soon as i have the transmog set and switch to Night Fea a covenant designed by someone who enjoy doing his actual job.

Howdy!

After unlocking your level 2 Ember Court and creating your butter, he will be available at the tower near Temel and will have additional options to help out at the party, depending on what court upgrades you have available, such as security or decoration.

This allows you to use him to help out with additional happiness boosts for specific guests if needed, as you might not be able of providing enough with just the base court bonuses if your guest list is awkward.

He can also be customizable, and uniquely, provided with mounts, both land and air in order to follow you around.

In addition to Taaruks excellent post, I'd like to point out that you can further equip your butler with mounts. These can be bought from Temel:

Sinrunner Pony Reins - ground mount. Requires revered reputation with The Ember Court, costs 55 Infused Ruby.
Juvenile Dredbat Harness - flying mount. Requires exalted reputation The Ember Court, costs 70 Infused Ruby.

This works similar to Argent Squire using a pony Argent Pony Bridle.

Unlike the renown battle pet that's Covenant locked, this one can be summon by anyone.

If you unlock this guy as Venthyr and then swap to another covenant, you will continue to get cosmetic items with which you can equip your Dredger.

I'm not sure if this is intended or not.

When you are naming the butler, there are two pages of names (20 in total). You can swap between the pages back and forth. Here are all the options:

I’ve been messing around with my butler while rp’ing, and it turns out that they respond to certain emotes! So far, /point, /talk, /roar so far provide animations. Nice little details! Will post more if I find more.

If you have multiple Venthyr characters who dredge a butler, you'll still only have one copy of the minipet and its appearance will be of whichever version was last dressed. ex: if Character A has a blue butler in black clothes, Character B will also see a blue butler in black clothes when summoning them, even though previously B made their butler to be green in red clothes . However if B changes asks the dredger to change their hairstyle it will update the Dredger Butler minipet model to their green in red clothes version, and then A will also see green in red clothes unless they ask the Butler to change an outfit piece to chance the minipet model back to their blue butler. So while slightly inconvenient, haicuts are free to change and allow access to each character's unique butler while still existing as a single shared minipet.

No matter how you have him customized, if you engage in pet battle, he will always have green skin, no hair and no shirt.

First I though him taking off his shirt for combat was a cute quirk and attention to detail, but then I noticed the rest and was dissapointed. What's the point of customizing him if it doesn't show, anyway? I hope it's a bug they will fix and not indended.

You can give your Dredger Butler a Pink Party Hat. It's not in the achievement list but it's an option to pick from after you give it to him.

I chose the blue skin so i dont know if this works on the other choices. when i have him in the "igor" haircut with the short sleeved dublet dyed blue he is the size of a "normal" dredger, anything else and he is mutch smaller, for a dredger that is.

Is there is any way to change theirs color tone?
I thought that dyes is for it and didn't paid any attention wile answering for quest, but dyes is for outfits only.
