It is possible to go into Perdition Hold early, which is the area the summoning is in. You need the Darkmoon Cannon to launch yourself from the most southern part of Crucible of the damned. This will allow you to glide directly onto the spot required to summon Exos. You will be given a debuff that makes you take 100% more damage. As a warlock, I was able to kill a couple of elites before it became overwhelming. The important part is THIS IS POSSIBLE TO DO RIGHT NOW. You need a team of people with Darkmoon Cannon and gliders, only need one Domination's Calling. Have a geared tank so that he can tank through to 100% increased damage.

EDIT: For future readers, this comment was made in the first week of Shadowlands when Perdition Hold was not yet accessible.

I only do elite rares, they give 100 rep. I'm also tank, so I'll do dailies up to 90% (like if 9/10 for item or w/e). Than go do elite rares only. I can do 6 elite, 1 rare, 7th elite before I get 5 jailer stacks. Than I finish dailies. Up to you if you want, but dailies only worth 75, did get 1 worth 100 (this is not counting the weeklies you get from Ven on Tuesday, those i do).

Here is a couple macro's you can check if you've done the 9 known elites that I'm aware of. 3 are summons will require 3 more people. Usually not hard to get people.

I use Super Duper Macro, make 2 floating, and put the click command in 1 normal macro so I can see all 9 true or not. The numbers after are way points, but you have to manually put in. So Borr-geth /way 39 41 for example.

He has around 700k HP and two avoidable abilities that don't hit very hard.

We had a bear tank, shadow priest, feral druid, and as a precaution we had a holy priest, but ended up not needing the healing.

Exos very easy, but the teleporter back after killing him can bug out and put you in the ground, where you will fall to your death. Could be related to character height since I was goblin. Stygia is retrievable but very annoying

It is possible to climb up the side of the tower using Door of Shadows.

Learned this the hard way after dying during the fight with no res available...

His area can be reached without portal, via variety of methods.

My favourite is using Darkmoon Cannon (or Gnomish Gravity Well, or Borr Geth's stone, or any other thing) near where Dath Rezara is, and then just gliding to his platform.

HOWEVER

He only spawns when you create his portal. So even if you reach his platform, he wont be there unless you use the item to create portal to get to him. It does however make for an easier way to get to him, rather than running through perdition;'s hold.

I was able to solo it as a 208 ilvl shadow priest. Just watch out for the knockback from Necrotic Blast (it's a line directly in front of the rare), and try to dodge the projectiles from Echoes of Misery because they stun you.

don't try to run through all mobs and use item inside room for fast teleport. It takes like 5 seconds to create portal. And during this time you cant do anything. Mobs cant stop this process. But you cant stop it as well (to use defences or anything). So you have a good chances to die from all this mobs who freely attacks you while you "busy".

As of 9.1, the item Domination's Calling summons this rare. You still need to go into the cave/dungeon in Perdition Hold, and use the item there, which summons a portal, take the portal to the top, and then Exos will appear. I was kind of confused since no one in the comments had mentioned that since they added the maw mount you can create, they gave players the ability to grapple up to Exos' area, I thought this meant Domination's Calling was unnecessary.

If you go during the Necrolord Assault, you have access to Draka's Battlehorn up there... makes it stupid easy to solo.

I used the domination's calling, it channeled but i thought it had failed somehow. someone doing the necro assault pulled Evelana and i found out it was under the boss where i couldn't see it. almost left, and was upset because it has a 24 hr CD. oh, i found a chaotic rift portal in the tower above Exos too. grapple was just visible from where Exos stands. it goes to zovaal's cauldron.

In order to see the upper grapple Points you need to have Stygia Dowser in your inventory (dont know if bank is enough, didnt try)

Grapple points seem to be a bit flexible with when they appear. I had the dowser mentioned before, but yesterday I tried for about an hour to get up there using grapple points. Leaving the area and coming back, reloading, exiting completely, joining a group to change realm - nothing worked. The Necrolord assault was up.

Went back today, assault had changed to Kyrian, and all the grapple points were there.

Although you still need the portal activated below in order to summon the boss, it was easier going up using the grapple points, using the teleport at the top to go down to the room below, clearing a couple of mobs then using the portal, rather than fighting your way through all the mobs. Especially as you can grapple from quite a way out.

Completed today for the last Better to Be Lucky Than Dead rare. You do not need other players to open the gate. I simply went to the Altar of Domination, used my Domination's Calling and a portal opened to Exos.

Managed to summon all 3 mobs and then kill Exos together in a group, just listed it in the custom tab and it took only a few minutes for 3 other players to sign up, dont be afraid and just set up a group yourself and you can get it done too!

This boss is impossible at current patch... Very hard to find 3 other people to summon the heralds... Please delete boss from the achievement or create something like summoning portals that stay active so you can solo summon the heralds...

currently you can solo use this item for creating a portal to Exos
