Visectus is a part of Necrolord covenant and is required to open Blackhound Cache and get It's a Wrap achievement.
Blackhound Cache is located in Blackhound Outpost northwest of the Theater of Pain flight point.
It's locked inside of a building and to open the door you have to be Necrolord.
You have to summon and escort Visectus to the treasure.
First unlock the Necrolord Abomination Factory which will reveal the Specter Of War: Visectus quest from Summoner Gerard.
To complete the summoning you have to craft 100 Anima-bound Wraps (requires 100 Shrouded Cloth).
The progress is shared with other Necrolord players so you may not need all 100.
You can do it at Abominable Stitching Table in the Abomination Factory.
After you bring all Anima-bound Wraps to Summoner Gerard Visectus will start moving to treasure.
You have to kill the enemies which will spawn along the way.
At the end it will destroy the door blocking the treasure.
The reward is Everlasting Boneforged Greataxe.
If you bring 100 Anima-bound Wraps you'll get It's a Wrap achievement.

He despawns as soon as he opens the door, so if you're by yourself just be ready to rush the chest if you're at risk of being overwhelmed by enemy npcs.

For anybody wondering he makes his way straight north across the bridge over the iron Trench (from Seat of the Primus) and then clockwise (left if you are looking north) around the theatre of pain. I saw the message came here and wasn't sure which way to go to meet up with him.

Paid for a full summon, all the chest had were some greys and 30 anima,
Super unrewarding experience after that excort.

I'm not sure what happens if he dies on the way there, on my first summon he barely made it to the Outpost. From the second time I just bring Roseboil with me and heal Visectus with her. It's handy against the mobs at the outpost as well. Visectus is very derpy, sometimes he leaves enemies behind for some time, sometimes he kills them properly.

When I escorted him, he frequently stopped to melee either nothing, or an already dead enemy.

this has to be the dumbest quest, it's so annoying.. like you spawn a big f*ckin badass that can obliterate any enemy he wants, but he stops on every step and wait for some unit to spawn so it can CHAINS OF OPRESSSION him until u kill everything ... so u basically babysit a giant throughout the entire zone to get a chest that doesn't seem to drop much tbh..

Spent 200 cloth on summoning him (+ the anima to upgrade Construct Table to rank 2) & got 20 anima + Cache of Spare Weapons.
Already pissed at loss of anima (I only get to play a few hours a week) & when I look up the item, can't use until rank 5 Construct Table? Go F yourself ActiBlizz.

Takes ~10 minutes from "Visectus is here" Yell to it actually reaching the door of the cache. It'll vary, but don't feel like you have to rush right over there once you see the yell

Someone must have summoned him earlier. because I just steathed in and looted the chest with the door open. I was just passing by and my rare addon popped off that the chest was there.

Escorted him halfway and then he despawned... There was another yell from the npc so my guess is that someone else summoned him so I went all the way back to escort him again but he wasn't even there, even wait for 30 minutes in front of the door and nothing... So yeah be sure that your server is dead when you want to escort that guy... This is such a bad design...

He was hanging out near the Seat of the Primus, with some NPCs around him healing him. I didn't have any anima wraps (0/100), but I figured I'd try healing him to full just to see what happens. Unfortunately, nothing actually happens if you do that.

Hope I saved someone a few minutes of spam healing.

You need both, the Anima Conductor (Tier 1) and Abomination Factory (Tier 2), to summon Visectus.

On multiple occasions now I've wasted my anima wraps by turning them in "too early;" make sure Visectus' ghostly form is at the spawn location or your turn-ins are more likely to not increase the progress bar beyond 0/100. I think there's a bit of a cooldown between when the yell goes out about "shall rise again" and when the event can actually be contributed to. Luckily, Shrouded Cloth isn't all that expensive so it's more a matter of the time wasted crafting than the gold expense, but still.

After 15 years, Blizzard still can't create an escort quest that's not a frustrating nightmare.

Even if it's a world boss you're escorting.

This can't be incompetence. After 15 YEARS, don't tell me you still can't do the job.

This has to be DELIBERATE.
