If you're inside the Crystal Fissure cave, you're in the wrong place. He's up on the mountain above the cave. Take the road directly to the left of the entrance to that cave and it'll get you there. His Shadow Bolt Volley hits for about half a million and needs to be interrupted.

Just helped a group kill him, on my level 106 Demon Hunter. We wiped once because I was the only tank at the time, and he hits hard when all of your cd's are on cooldown. I was able to loot him but only got gold, guessing there is a possible loot drop if you're on a level 110 character. After he died, there was a group of 4 silver elites that spawned in his same cave (Jak, Puck, Darkful and Xaander) and I was able to get hits on 3 of them, got Jak's Gloves in loot.

When Ormagrogg respawned, he still had the silver dragon around his portrait, but again, I was not on a level 110 character, so he probably maintains his rarespawn status until the appropriate level to award loot.

Upon killing him a second time, the 4 other elites did not spawn, but he still had the silver dragon around his portrait.

Go to Snowblind Mesa from Thunder Totem, it's the right exit from the top level of Thunder Totem. When you get to the Mesa, cross the bridges and hang a left, go along the path next to the river, you'll see his cave on the right.

Solo Kill possible and easy. Simply kite him to Snowblind Mesa Questhub. NPCs will attack him and help you get the kill by yourself. Even if you die he will not reset and fight the NPCs.

This guy hits hard! Notice he stacks a magic buff on himself increasing his damage, so get anyone helping with him to dispel this effect and it'll make your life alot easier! :)

Get some shamans or mages who can interrupt the near lethal shadow bolt volley and, more importantly, purge or spellsteal his buff he puts on himself which boosts his power and this fight is much, much easier.

Did this not more than 30 minutes ago on my Enhancement Shaman with a pack of random people and I spent most of the fight purging and wind shearing ... I don't think anyone in the cave took more than 20% damage the entire fight as long as people kept stopping his casts and removing his buffs.

Ormagrogg is located in Highmountain.
Coordinates: 52.2, 58.6 - Highmountain, Snowblind Mesa,
TomTom: /way Highmountain 52.2, 58.6 Ormagrogg
Flight point: Thunder Totem - Windtamer Nalt

start in "Thunder Totem" from the upper level and take the exit to the East to the "Snowblind Mesa". Goes over the two bridges and turn to the left. Follow the riverside until you reach a cave. Inside the cave is Ormagrogg.

Fun fact: he does not scale down like most rares do: he's always 112.
