Midsummer Fire Festival
is here! Embrace the spirit of summer by honoring your faction's flames and desecrating the enemy's! Throughout the world, there are bonfires surrounded by questgivers and NPCs that sell summery items in exchange for

Everyone loves achievements, so we've added even more site achievements to Wowhead this week!
You can now get achievements for using our recently-added tools and features, including building a Garrison with the
Garrison Calculator
, pinning a charcter in the
Profiler
, and making a
Sounds playlist
. We've also rewarded users for using our popular features like transmog sets and the modelviewer.
As usual, a list of all of the different achievements and their criteria, as well as who has earned them and how many times, can be found in the
Website Achievements
category, found under the Community menu. Users can view their own achievements in the Achievements tab found on their user page.
Achievements are only awarded to registered users, so if you're looking for a reason to de-lurk and register, now is the time.

Solo Queueing for LFR and Scenarios
On the Alpha, there are ways to queue for LFR, Scenarios, and Heroic Scenarios if you are above the intended level. On live, these instances have level requirements so once you'd level past the requirement, you had no way of going back--like Dragon Soul LFR.
Before Alpha was playable, it was previewed on Twitter by Blizzard that there was a solution in place for this. Now we can take a look for ourselves!

Warlords of Draenor Transmog Preview: 3D Weapon Models
Over the past few months, we've found tons of new weapon models coming in Warlords of Draenor. We posted our
latest weapons video
on Friday, but we also thought it would be useful to see a list of all known WoD weapons, organized by source and type.
Of particular note:
Models have been datamined for Challenge Mode weapons--these models are very elaborate, and seem to be the WoD equivalent of Challenge Mode Gold armor sets in Mists of Pandaria.
Models marked as "crafted" appear to be faction themed and come in several tiers--the most elaborate weapons correspond to higher-quality stats.
Many Warlords Season 1 weapons have models attached, but we've also found models for "draenor honor" which imply that Honor weapons will look completely different in WoD, instead of being recolored Conquest weapons.

Rare Spawns, Events, Loot
Introduced in 5.4 on the Timeless Isle, Vignettes and rare spawns are making an increased appearance in
Frostfire Ridge
. Players can find a number of rare spawns with unique loot drops (marked by a skull on your minimap) as well as special treasure chests or events (marked by a sword).
As an additional twist, these rare spawns only sometimes show up as a silver elite. If you search for
Vignettes
under the Draenor > Frostfire Ridge section of our Warlords of Draenor quest database, you can get a sense of the types of rare spawns and events available.

Questing
When questing, you now have a small chance for your reward to be a rare or epic version instead. When this happens, you'll get a special loot toast (similar to what you see when you win something via a bonus roll).
Rare items are +5 ilvls higher and epic items are +10 levels higher than the base item. For example, the rare version of
Frostwolf Hunting Crossbow
was ilvl 515 and the epic version would be 520.

Frostfire Ridge and UI Changes
Keybindings are a lot nicer in alpha, there are different sections for each type so you don't have to scroll through a huge list.
Bags now have filters as well as a "Clean up Bags" option that resorts your bags. Junk items now have a gold coin image on their icon so you know to sell them.
The in-game shop option now has
Warforged Nightmare
and
Grinning Reaver
for sale.
The Dungeon Journal now has a new role description section for bosses.
The map and quest log interface have been merged together. Bonus objectives for specific areas show up as swords on the map.
Mounts now show mounts you can't use in a certain zone as red.
There is a new achievement category,

, and MoP Challenge Mode achievements like
Challenge Conqueror: Gold
are there. According to Twitter,

The basics of the Toybox UI are in, under a new Collections button.
