News Roundup: Hearthstone Beta Account Wipe Incoming, PvP Updates
A major beta patch is coming to Hearthstone soon, and in preparation for that, CM Zeriyah is giving everyone a heads up that their progress will be reset.
This includes gold, experience, arcane dust, and class levels.
Each pack purchased with real money will give players back 100 gold, and each arena entry will give players 150 gold.
There are also no current plans to do additional wipes, so any cards and levels acquired after this wipe will be usable when the game goes live.
If you tested the store before the wipe, you will get after redoing the introductory missions.

News Roundup: Valor Points, Professions in MoP, Player Feedback
In today's news roundup, Bashiok has been busy on the forums these past few days, covering professions, player feedback, and gearing up with
Valor Points
:
In Patch 5.3, item upgrades are returning at a reduced cost (0
Valor Points
instead of 0
Valor Points
) and several Shado-Pan Assault rewards are being moved down from Revered to a lower reputation requirement.
Justice Points
are sidelined for now, and making players rely so much on
Valor Points
at the start of the expansion was an oversight.
In response to players asking about in-game surveys to provide feedback, Bashiok explained that Blizzard already amasses an exhaustive amount of player data, from talents players pick to what dailies are the most popular. Of course, forum feedback is also useful as it provides insights into player choices.
There were also a few interesting content tidbits:
Black Temple was mean to be in the game at Burning Crusade's launch.
While most of Patch 5.3 was planned out a while ago, Battlefield: Barrens was only planned in 5.2.
Players gave lots of feedback on missing Heroic Dungeons at one point, so Heroic Scenarios are a nod to those players.

Mists of Pandaria Preview: Scott Mercer and Ion Hazzikostas Interview
Blizzard just posted two important news stories. First off, they have a very in-depth interview about the raids in Mists of Pandaria. There are some important tidbits shared in this discussion:
Mogu’shan Vaults will be the first raid and it will probably be delayed up to a week on release, so there is less pressure to hit level cap as a raider.
The other two raids will unlock weeks after Vaults to give raiders even more time acclimate.
Lore has been really thought out this time around. The instances should ideally flow into each other, as opposed to back in WotLK where they felt so jarringly different. For example, you'll fight the Sha of Fear at the end of one raid only to have her flee to the next.
The raid rewards players with items with the following item levels: item level 476 for Raid Finder, 489 for normal mode, and 502 for Heroic.
There’s also a new mount that can be obtained by defeating Elegon, a celestial dragon found deep within the Vault:
Reins of the Astral Cloud Serpent
.
Other than that, Blizzard also confirmed that
Brewfest
will be delayed so it doesn't make players feel rushed to experience Mists of Pandaria as well as do the holiday. This is welcomed news, as mo

PvP Gear in Mists
You will have less resilience on your gear coming into beta. However, you will also have some base resilience and that base should offset the PvP power that everyone is getting. The net result should be that you take about the same damage you do today in a PvP setting, but will take less damage from someone not wearing PvP gear.
Currently on your beta build, I believe the ratio of power to resilience is off. You should have more resilience and less power than you do.
It is entirely possible that some new talents or spell changes will result in too much burst damage in isolated cases, but when giving feedback, it's useful for us if you distinguish between those and survivabili
